Cheran is not happy with the media. He is very upset over the gossip suggesting that it was he who recommended Navya Nair to be part of his next movie 'Raman Thediya Seethai', directed by Jagannathan.
'You people write such gossips without realizing the power of the writing', lamented the director turned hero in the press meet organized by the Moser Baer, the producer of 'Raman Thediya Seethai'.
Such rumors, according to Cheran, could ruin the peace within the families of the concerned persons. The actor cum director requested the media to avoid writing such gossips.
He also took objection to a report, which ridiculed him by sarcastically comparing him with Kamal Haasan. 'The writer says that I think I am Kamal', said Cheran, adding that, 'I could become at least one fourth of Kamal if I work hard like him. So there is nothing wrong in emulating him'. The director went emotional when he talked about his feelings on such reports.
Talking on the movie, Cheran informed the reporters that he accepted to act in 'Raman Thediya Seethai', as it requires a hero without any image. He also praised the talents of the young director Jagannathan, who was working as his assistant right from 'Bharathi Kannamma' to 'Mayakkannaadi'. It may be recalled that Jagan is making his debut as director with 'Raman Thediya Seethai', which is growing fast.
