It's double treat for Cheran. The actor has been signed by producer Kalpathi S Agoram of AGS Entertainment for two new projects- one as an actor and the other a director.
While his acting venture, titled 'Yutham Sei', will be directed by Mysskin, the film for which he would wield the megaphone has been named 'Adutha Thalaimurai'. Aptly reflecting the title, the film will speak about younger generation, it is said.
Interestingly, Cheran has decided to introduce 200 new faces, all youngsters, in 'Adutha Thalaimurai'. For this, the filmmaker is on a 'recruitment drive', with screen tests being held in various parts of Tamil Nadu.
Circles close to Cheran said advertisements are being placed and applicants are selected after a stringent screening process. "Finally, two months before shooting, he will train them in acting," they added.
On the decision by Cheran not to act in this film, they said, "This is probably because he would be able to do focus more on the story and direction departments, without the pressures of facing the camera."
