At last veteran director K Balachander's 101st directorial venture Poi is all set to release.
The movie being produced by his protege Prakash Raj was completed a month ago and works are on to get the film released.
Sources say the movie would be released this June and the director and producer are busy giving final touches to facilitate a nearly release. Telugu star Uday Kiran plays the lead role.
Pitted opposite him is the Miss-India Australia winner Vimala. Once a child artiste, Geethu Mohandass has an important role to essay. Her portrayal of a trollop in a Malayalam film won her approbation in the film festival in Chennai, two months ago.
Cinematographer P G Viswanath makes his debut in Tamil along with Lyricist Dr Kridaya. The other credits are: Music - Vidyasagar; Art - Sabu Cyril and Editing - M Kasi Viswanath.
