Actor Vishal's big summer release 'Marudhu' a rustic rural entertainer directed by Muthiah released over the weekend. The film has satisfied the audience with its right mix of action, sentiment, romance, comedy and the strong portrayal of female characters.
In Chennai the film has been released across 21 theaters with a total of 257 shows allotted in the first weekend. The theaters occupancy has been 85% on an average which is really good and the collections and the film has collected close to seven million in Chennai itself.
The film has collected Rs.69,85,455 in Chennai box office in its first three days of release which is a highly encouraging opening weekend result.
'Marudhu' has been produced by G.Anbuchezhiyan of Gopuram Films. The film stars Vishal, Sridivya, Soori, Kollapulli Leela, R.K.Suresh, Radharavi and many others. The film's musical score has been rendered by D.Imman.
With such a good opening, the film is expected to continue its good show at the box office and attain the hit status very soon.
