Vishal comes to Trichy on vacation, meets Priya Mani and falls in love with her. He then helps her solve her problems and weds her, this is a short synopsis about the story line of Malaikottai.
For the first time, Vishal and G Boopathy Pandian have joined hands to build the humor mixed action venture. Kanal Kannan's stunts are at his best, in boosting up the image of Vishal as action hero with grand action scenes. Priya Mani, who did a village role in 'Paruthiveeran', has done a great job as a glam doll in this film. She is quite clever in choosing her films and thus she avoids herself being captivated by image fever.
Kannada actor Devaraj makes his debut in Tamil as one among the villains who stands against the love birds in this play. Another baddie is Ashish Vidyarthi, who is no less in showing evil emotions on the screen. Most important scenes were shot in Trichy as the story takes place, rightly named so. The perfect blend of lyrics by Na Muthukumar and Yugabarathi with the music by Mani Sharma is already the favorite for young hearts and is been crooned by every Tom, Dick and Harry! The team also includes G Sasikumar (editing), Kalyan Shobi (dance director) and Vaithi handles cinematography.
The movie's trailer has already generated a lot of expectations. Vishal is optimistic that his performance in Malaikottai will win him accolades and it is notable that our CM Karunanidhi offered appreciation on both Vishal and Boopathy Pandian for coming out with an engrossing film.
