Actor Karan is busy shooting for 'Kandha'. It is an action-packed entertainer, which would hit the screens on Pongal festival, which is directed by debutant Babu K Viswanath, a former journalist.
Addressing media persons, the director said, 'at a time when movie are being made in Madurai and its surroundings, I thought of doing a film in Thanjavur'.
'This one will be different from Karan's earlier films. The story has everything to please the audience. I am sure the movie would be another milestone in Karan's career,' says a confident director.
Viswanath, who had earlier worked as an assistant to director Saran in the films 'Jay Jay', 'Attagasam' and 'Vasool Raja MBBS', adds that due attention will be given to the comedy sequences in the flick.
Shakti R. Selva, who was a keyboard player with A.R. Rahman, makes his debut as a music director through the film. There are six songs in the movie and, according to Viswanath they have come out very well.
The stunt sequences are choreographed by Super Subbarayan. Produced by AP Film garden, Kandha features Mithra as heroine. Rajesh plays a important role in this Karan's movie.
