Directed by Boopathy Pandian, the movie featured Vishal, Priyamani, Ashish Vidyarthi and Urvashi in prominent roles. An action-packed hilarious entertainer, 'Malaikottai' opened in a big way asserting star status of Vishal among his fans. A racy narration coupled with catchy songs by Mani Sharma wooed the audience.
