If reports are to be believed, Mani Ratnam has put his Tamil-Telugu bilingual on back burner. The film was supposed to have Dulquer, Karthi, Keerthi and Nithya Menen in lead roles. But later Dulquer was replaced by Nani and Keerthi Suresh opted out due to her characterization in the film.
Apparently, Mani has told that the project will take off only on January but Karthi has already given bulk dates to a big budget film, so he too has reportedly opted out of the bilingual.
Now, sources say that the proposed film is dropped and one has to wait for the maverick director’s next move. Mani Ratnam last release, OK Kanmani was a sleeper hit in both Tamil and Telugu.
