It was rather shocking for those who have been closely monitoring the progress of 'Kuselan'. The absence of Nayantara, Meena and Pasupathy during the audio launch function of 'Kuselan' in Chennai was looked upon as 'strange' and even 'fishy'.
The actors in question did the explaining part as to why they were not able to make it. Meena was in Hyderabad shooting for the Telugu film 'Karikonda Thangamma' on the 30th of June and so could not make. She also added that she did the Telugu dubbing part as well, for her character and so has been in Hyderabad for quite some time.
Though Nayantara was very much in Chennai, shooting for 'Aegan' was fixed on the 30th of June at only 4 pm, and the audio launch for Kuselan happened at 7 pm. So it was just impossible for her to make it.
Pasupathy was in Munnar for the film 'Vedigundu Murugesan' in which he plays the hero.
Not knowing these, certain sections of the media jumped the gun by speculative comments suggesting a rift within the 'Kuselan' team.
It really doesn't matter if all the artists of a film do not get together for an event as long as everyone coagulates well playing their respective characters on screen.
