Director Ameer's critically-acclaimed 'Paruthi Veeran' will soon be remade in Telugu. Noted Tollywood film personality Mohan Babu is planning for the movie in Telugu. It would feature his son Manoj in the lead role. The Tamil version featured Karthi and Priyamani in the lead roles. The latter went on to win the National Award for Best Actress. 'Paruthi Veeran' was selected for screening in various film festivals across the globe. It fetched great laurels for Tamil cinema.
