Madhavan, who floated his production house called Leukos Films, has planned a beehive of activities to promote his maiden offering Evano Oruvan.
The movie starring Madhavan, Sangeetha and Seeman in lead roles is getting ready for a release on 7 December.
According to Madhavan, 'The film is a remake of Marathi blockbuster Dombivili Fast directed by Nishikant Kamat and it won 27 international awards and also the National award for the best Marathi film. The Tamil version is handled by the same director and is almost an exact remake of its Marathi parent and in my opinion, one of my films till date'.
Prior to its release in December, the film would be shown at special screenings in select cities in USA, Canada, Middle East, Singapore and Malaysia, countries that have sizeable Indian population.
These shows will involve a meet and greet with the cast and crew of the film and ten lucky winners from the show would get to have a dinner with the cast in each city.
On 26 October, Evano Oruvan would be screened at Los Angeles followed by the next day at New York. During November, the movie would be premiered at Bahrain, Oman, Dubai, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
'Madhavan plays the role of Sridhar Vasudevan, an ordinary person from a middle class background', says Nishikant Kamat.
Cinematography for this film is by Sanjay Jadhav, music by G V Prakash, art by Nagu and the dialogues are by Madhavan himself, while director Seeman supervises them.
