It's about 60 years since the MGR movie 'Mallaikallan' was released. The movie was admired by the whole of Tamilnadu and a song titled 'Ethanai Kaalamthaan Emaatruvaar' became a rage'.and is still admired.
Rajkiran has named the project he is producing 'Malaikallan' and says, 'it has nothing to do with the MGR film. It is a totally new story'.
However, the actor, director, producer Rajkiran wants to retain the song 'Ethanai Kaalamthaan Emaatruvaar' and wanted to secure rights for it.
MGR's 'Mallaikallan' was produced and directed by Sriramulu. The song was written by Ramalingam Pillai. Music was by Subbiah Naidu. All of them are not alive now.
Rajkiran and his team wanted to meet with their successors (sons, daughters, grandchildren etc.). Unfortunately they could not be traced immediately.
The filmmaking team is now on a determined mission to trace the successors so that they can obtain the rights for the song.
