It’s going to be a bad news for Tamil films. The Film Distributors Association Kerala (FDAK) has declared not to give permission to any other languages movies except Malayalam to release in Kerala simultaneously with all Indian releases from May 1 this year.
This decision will badly affect the kollywood industry more than any other industralism as Tamil films have a huge following in Kerala as much as for Malayalam. This decision was taken to save the small budget Malayalam movies in Kerala.
It’s also bad news to the team of ‘Sura’, as the movie which is slated for the release worldwide on May 1 has no permission in Kerala now. But new decision from FDAK is, it can release in Kerala only two weeks after its worldwide release.
In earlier months, other languages films like Avatar, Vinnaithandi Varuvaya, Vettaikkaran, 3 Idiots etc; did a great business at the box-office in kerala.
