After the successful Thuppakki, the duo Vijay and Murugadoss have planned to team up for a film together and Samantha was approached for the lead lady role. Earlier there has been buzz that Deepika Padukone was in talks for the film but the actress has failed to allocate call-sheets due to her busy schedules and Samantha seems to have bagged the chance.
Anirudh is roped in to score the tunes for this big-budget film. However an official announcement on the cast and crew are yet to be announced. The film will move on to the sets from January 2014.
