At a time when small producers are facing problems with the technologies in currency, Ability Media Factory has come as a ray of hope. Besides improved quality, this system for film exhibition reduces the costs for the producers, distributors and exhibitors.
"Piracy too can be curbed using this technology," director Allani Sridhar said speaking about the system. "Film distribution is now dominated by digital technology. Due to this, producers are incurring losses because of piracy or high costs. Ability Media Factory should thus be encouraged," said producer Rama Sathyanarayana.
Vasu of Multi-Dimension Media said, "This system is being used across North India in about 75 per cent of cinemas. It costs less and also puts piracy at bay."
With the technologies currently in use in AP and Telangana, it takes Rs. 12 lakhs to release a film in 100 theatres. On the other hand, Ability Media Factory costs only Rs. 3 lakhs.
