Both Salman Khan and Venkatesh are officially remaking Malayalam hit movie 'Bodyguard' in their respective languages. Salman Khan's Hindi version of Bodyguard is releasing today in about 120 screens across AP setting new record for a Hindi film and this will surely putting pressure on Venkatesh's Telugu version in terms of expectations and intensity. The problem here is that if more people see Salman's Hindi version since its coming with a record number of prints, this viewership will dent the Telugu Bodyguard audience and collections.
Ask Venkatesh on the same and the actor is unmoved opining that his Telugu version will not be affected in any way. “We have our own audience and we're working on the movie”, says the actor. Generally, Hindi movies do not come with big releases in AP but with the festive season (Ramzan and Vinayaka Chavithi), the distributors are looking to cash in on the fever and long weekend and that too, after Salman's back to back hits Dabangg and Ready. So will Salman spoil Venkatesh's party? It'll be touch and go!
