The Telugu remake of 'Saala Khadoos' ('Irudhi Suttru' in Tamil), which will be on floors later this month, is bracing up for a grand December release. The film is written and directed by Sudha Kongara, the one who directed the original. The film is titled as 'Guru'.
The December target is understandable. After all, January is choc-a-bloc with releases, that too big-ticket ones. The film will reportedly be shot and done with the next stage in 90 days.
To be produced by the makers of the original, the film will be presented by Prasad V Potluri. Except for Venkatesh, most of the cast and crew will be drawn from the original version. Ritika Singh, who played Madhi, will reprise herself. So also Mumtaz Sorcar, Nasser, Radha Ravi, Zakir Hussain, and Kaali Venkat, among others.
Venky has been quoted as saying that it's who he recommended that Ritika Singh reprise herself because she has already rocked it once.
Music is by Santosh Narayanan of 'Kabali' fame. Cinematography is by Sivakumar Vijayan. Art direction is by Santhanam.
