Various sections of the film industry and people feel that the channels shouldn't have gone overboard in their reporting about Srija's Wednesday wedding.
Many feel that the non-stop telecast of the marriage clipping by one particular channel for nearly five hours was unethical and not in sync with journalistic norms.
The TRP ratings for the said channel have shot up tremendously post the telecast. Incidentally, the same channel was not doing well a few months back.
It is now being felt by an increasing number of people that the personal crisis of the megastar has been blown out of proportions and that he has been made a scapegoat in its attempt to boost its own TRPs.
Is it a cheap media gimmick or news as it happens is for the people to decide.
