Ravi Prakash made his debut with the 2000 Telugu film Subhavela after director Teja had invited him into the film industry, but the film had a low key release and went unnoticed.[1] Ravi Prakash subsequently quit the industry and then chose to take up his MBBS degree and qualified as a doctor.
He returned in 2004 portraying ACP Rajesh in Gautham Menon's Gharshana and has since played supporting roles in high budget films, becoming significantly busier post 2011.[2] He played villain in tamil film Maatraan (2012).
