Daya Nayak seems to be the favorite topic for most of the filmmakers nowadays. Firstly, it was Amitabh Dayal who announced Kagar 2, based on the real-life story of Daya Nayak.
Then now its Ajanta Films of Bangalore that have completed a movie on the encounter specialist and are set to release it soon. A Telugu newcomer Sachin is playing Daya Nayak in the film and Mahesh Manjrekar plays the role of a character inspired by Chota Shakeel.
His name in the movie is 'Kaleel'. The movie produced by A R Raju bears similarities between Daya Nayak and the hero in the movie. Like, the hero also hails from Karnataka and later becomes top encounter specialist; he also builds a school in Mangalore. More than 50 percent of the film has been shot in Dubai.
