The word "superstar" will not be sounding that great in the present time when it is being used so much.

But there was a time when the word belonged to only one person in the whole of Hindi film Industry.

The person who became known as the first superstar of Bollywood in the late 1960's and 70's today with his grey hair and beard is a far cry from the days when he was adored by the girls, critics and colleagues.

The original superstar Rajesh Khanna who today keeps a very low profile and seldom is seen in any events in which the Bollywood makes its presence received this years Dada Saheb Phalke legendry actor award on April 30.

Although the event was minus any usual Bollywood glamour and the hordes of stars, the award is a very special one as it is given in the memory of the man who can be rightly called as the grand ancestor of all the film makers in India, having made the first silent movie in India.

For the actor on whom the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) made a film called "Bombay Superstar" and Bombay University including an essay in a text book titled "The Charisma of Rajesh Khanna", this award truly is an honour to the talented actor.
