GOLMAL promo watch - Ready, steady, GOOOOOAL!

by mymazaa.com

What happens when four young man, who look like taporis but act as wannabe-dudes, meet? They do a lot of GOLMAL!

With a title borrowed from a yesteryear's HIT, there is a lot that a film needs to present in terms of style, substance and technique. The first look of the film promises exactly that as the COOL promo begins!

Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Tushar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi and last but not the least - Paresh Rawal. With a starcast like this coming together in a comic laugh riot, expectations are high with anticipation of one helluva 'dhamaal'. The same comes alive on screen as each of the leads is introduced.

First thing that is noticeable about each of the 4 men [Devgan, Warsi, Tushar and Sharman] is their loud clothing that ranges from red, yellow and green with fluorescent shades as the flavor of the season. Promising to be a joyful ride, the promo picks up heat in a matter of seconds as Ajay Devgan does a deja vu by standing with his feet apart on two separate bikes a la 'Phool Aur Kaante'. And that's not all as the bikes are not driven by assistants of an action director or stuntmen but two gorgeous ladies who look all hep and happening!

The music picks up pace as Arshad Warsi is shown enjoying his ride on a jeep with babes all around him while Tushar and Sharman keep their date with sun'n'sand on the beach along with the chicks! Color of each of the frames is as vibrant as 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' while the split second shots make 'Golmal' look like a highly exciting venture. Fun continues as Rimmi Sen is seen with a bewildered _expression on her face while there is a carnival scene throughout in the form of dance, masti and mazaa!

But is that all to 'Golmal'? Naah! With Paresh Rawal's character introduced to the proceedings, there is a sudden thrust to the happenings on the screen as the music changes stream to turn into a kind that Firoz Nadiadwala film promos are always known for. Fast paced, heavy bass and lots of drums - this is what makes the full-on-steam background score highly entertaining as a funny chase follows amongst all. On seeing Paresh Rawal, each of the 4 leads suddenly become mum and tries to find a place under the sun to hide!

Sports car topple on the highways, songs and dances happen in the background, lots of action and 'masala' follow and finally there is a 'GOL', oops 'GOAL' as Ajay Devgan [wearing the shortest of shorts] hits a football right on your screen with a flying kick!

Now that's what one calls a real 'GOAL-MAAL'!

Directed by Rohit Shetty, who chose a diametrically different 'Zameen' as his debut film; 'Golmal' is a Shri Ashtvinayak presentation and is slated to set the screens on fire in the month of July.
