The Reliance Big Entertainment owned by Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group is the largest film producer in India and owns physical studios and facility companies.
Chariman Anil.D.Ambani who is the 6th richest person in the world wants to join hands with the foreign film production players to extend its hold over the entertainment media in Hollywood too.
The deals with the foreign players brought to the table with the advice and guidance of Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in U.S.A. enables Reliance to co- finance projects and the creative people behind the films will enjoy full creative freedom.
Reliance Big Picture, the division of Reliance Big Entertainment will be focusing on media investments outside India through which the company aims for a creation of a virtual studio or new-generation media company and is part of Reliance Entertainment's long term strategy for media investments in Hollywood.
This decision is also to continue the growth of the company as a fully integrated movie company with substantial holdings in production, distribution and exhibition.
These deals with the production companies from other countries will automatically give reliance the rights of the film in India and the company also expects to attract suitable productions with appropriate incentives to India.
So far, so good for the growth of the Indian film industry as a whole.
