It was a celebration to beat all celebrations. SAHARA ONE MOTION PICTURES ambitious venture 'MY NAME IS ANTHONY GONSALVES' music was launched in style at a grand event held at Mumbai's latest jewel, Sahara Star, on Dec 7, 2007.
The party had a grand turnout from the media and the veritable who's and who's of the industry, and was being hailed as the best event in a long time in Bollywood.
'MY NAME IS ANTHONY GONSALVES' directed by E Niwas, marks the debut of a promising newcomer Nikhil Dwivedi, along with Amrita Rao, Mithun Chakraborty, Pawan Malhotra, Anupam Kher etc.
Director E Niwas introduced and called the whole star cast and crew of the film onstage. Celebrated legendary actor Mithun Chakraborty made the rarest of appearances on stage to lend support. The grand music launch reached a crescendo when chief guest, Superstar Shahrukh Khan, took center stage to release the music along with Shree Seemanto Roy and Bhushan Kumar from T-Series.
Superstar Shahrukh Khan, who looked dapper in a suit and a cute ponytail wished the promising rising star Nikhil Dwivedi, Amrita Rao and the talented team of 'MY NAME IS ANTHONY GONSALVES'. He added that he was confident and prayed that 'MY NAME IS ANTHONY GONSALVES' will become the biggest hit of the year.
Also making the rarest of appearances on stage was the normally reclusive Shree Seemanto Roy, who made it a point, to be present there to support the film.
Earlier the music launch started off in style with a performance by Hrishitta Bhatt on her item number from the film, followed by the promos of the film, which evoked positive reactions from the industry. The industry too was very appreciative when the song 'TUM MILEY', showcasing the fresh looking visual and pair of Nikhil and Amrita Rao, was shown on the giant screen.
Amongst the starry gathering, who made their presence were Riteish Deshmukh, Aziz Mirza, Ayesha Takia, Mukesh Bhatt, Saapna Mukherjee, Kumar Sanu etc.
'MY NAME IS ANTHONY GONSALVES' music launch was indeed a night to remember as a new star was born!! The film presented by Sahara One Motion Pictures is slated to release on January 11, 2008.
