While Shimit Amin's film starring Shahrukh Khan as a hockey coach has still to take off, its time for another film to kickoff with football as the backdrop!
The film is titled '90 Minutes', quite apt since it depicts the duration of a football game. Manoj Bajpai has been signed in the lead role of a football coach and debutant Iqbal Rizvi has been roped in as a director for this youth flick. The film is produced by Padmini Kapila who was a renowned Bollywood actress in the past.
As per Bajpai, the film is not just about football but tells a tale about relationships and conflicts that come with them. He plays the role of a former football player who had made a name for himself in his prime and was now extending his passion for football by taking over the role of a coach.
In addition to Bajpai, the film stars Abhimanyu Jain, Aditya Bal and number of other newcomers. Rukhsar, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Yaad Rakhegi Duniya' years back and made a comeback with 'Sarkar' and 'D' will be the female lead opposite Bajpai. Talks are also on for three international actors to be roped in.
The film is currently being shot in Simla and the cast'n'crew would be proceeding to Malaysia to shoot the film's climax in a stadium.
