Versatile actor Naseeruddin Shah escaped unhurt after the tyre of Scorpio jeep carrying him burst into pieces. He was on his way to the location of Vishal Bharadwaj's Othello, Omkaara at Wai in Panchgani. The actor survived a major scare primarily because the jeep was moving slowly due to the hilly terrain. Knowing his hot headed nature it was not surprising that the unit manager in Wai immediately got a call from him and after spewing choicest expletives for arranging such a 'Khatara gaadi for him,' Shah cooled down.
Naseer has a small but significant role in 'Omkara' and he is very happy with the growth of Bharadwaj as a filmmaker. According to him, the promise showed by the music-director-turned-film-director in 'Maqbool' will be enhanced many folds in 'Omkara'. He also awaits the big release of the year 'Krrish' where he plays the villain opposite Hrithik Roshan, the Indian Superman. Besides that, Shah's first directorial venture 'Yun Hota To Kya Hota' will see the darkness of movie theatres this July.
