Priyanka Chopra has displayed her talent several times over to Indian moviegoers in an array of roles, and now she’s wowing western audiences, with the same confidence and chutzpah. From playing a highly skilled FBI agent in the smash hit TV show, Quantico, to shooting for a villainous role in the upcoming action-comedy Baywatch (alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Zac Efron) to her amazing turn at this year’s Oscars, Priyanka all but has the foreign media and public eating out of her hands.
So, it comes as no surprise if the international press is interested in knowing her future projects. Recently, Complex caught up with Priyanka and quizzed her about her upcoming roles, in particular, her thoughts about playing a Bond girl since she has the looks, sensuality, and has displayed a penchant for tough roles throughout her career. To which the actress nonchalantly replied, “I get that all the time,” and, then, she confidently and almost shockingly stated, “but fuck that, I wanna be Bond.”
Wow…that’s some statement to make, but the way Priyanka’s making her mark globally, we say why not? As is, her role in Baywatch was initially envisaged for a male actor. So why not, Bond? And, we have no doubt that she’ll make a great Bond.
