Salman Khan and Controversy go hand-in-glove. He has far too many troubles on his plate already. But then fresh storms continue to brew in his cup of life overflowing with mishaps. The latest one is the reopening of an eight year old case of killing two Chinkaras in the Kutch region of Gujarat during the shooting of his film 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' in the year 1998. The Forest Department of Gujarat had filed a case of illegally killing the endangered animals. But the case had been dismissed when the forest officials after recording Salman Khan's statements gave him a clean chit.

After eight year in the wake of the Jodhpur verdict against Khan, an NGO in Gujarat has raised its voice about the 1998 case. The matter has been handed over to the Gujarat CID and it has come to light that the Forest Officials who had visited Salman in Mumbai had been hosted by Khan and his girlfriend during that time Aishwarya Rai. After the meeting, the forest officials willingly dropped the case against the superstar. Actor's father Salim Khan is bewildered as to why the world is after his son.

Although Salman Khan has led a chequered life, and maybe broken law as well. But somehow the feeling that one gets is that he is targeted because of his celebrity status. Small time NGOs and activists use him for making a name for themselves. If Chinkara killing case would have involved an ordinary man, things wouldn't have gone beyond a fine. For till date not a single person has been indicted in a case involving killing animals of the endangered species in India. To his credit Salman Khan hasn't been involved in any fresh controversy since the last three years. It's time people leave him alone and let him do, what he does best'.Entertain people all over the world.
