Srinivasaraju's new untitled film which was earlier titled as 'Basavanna' and 'Bramhana' is in news again. Former Law Minister Suresh Kumar took the issue in the Assembly and urged that the both the titles must not be given as it may hurt the sentiments of the people.
Earlier, the film which has Upendra in lead role was named as 'Basavanna' was created uproar in the assembly with former Chief Minister B S Yediyoorappa urging to change the name. However, director Srinivasarju renamed the film as 'Bramhana'. Many associations including the Akhila Karnataka Bramhana Maha Sabha urged the makers to change the title. Finally Upendra and producer C R Manohar withdrew the title.
Today the matter was discussed again in the Assembly and former Minister and sitting MLA Suresh Kumar argued that such titles must not be given as it may hurt the sentiments of the people.
