One of the finest actresses of Kannada cinema Sruthi with over 100 films to her credit, awards and accolades in Tamil films too is contemplating on taking up direction sometime next year. She was speaking to this correspondent at KSCA Club when she had come to address the media on the completion of 'Avva' Kannada film.
I am reading lot of novels and collecting ideas from my husband a renowned director S.Mahender but for everything time should come said Sruthi on her ambition to become a director.
The role she had played in 'Avva' is poles apart from the various mother roles she had played in her career. The wavelength with director Kavitha Lankesh was superb and she helped me to involve completely in the role of 'Rangavva' the firebrand character of the film. It was really a dream come true to work with extraordinary director Madhu Ambat.
I played the aged role yet he shows me very beautiful through his camera complimented Sruthi. What is important in 'Avva' is the fine selection of artistes made by director Kavitha Lankesh. By doing so she had won 80 percent. This is a very good opportunity in my career of films added Shruthi.
