Manju Warrier is playing the lead in Jo & the boy, which has been scheduled as a Christmas release.
Jo & the boy has been directed by Rojin Thomas, who co-directed Philips & the Monkey pen.
Manju Warrier plays Joan Mary John, while Sanoop Santhosh is playing Christian Rudolph.
Manju made her return as an actor after a break of fourteen years, in Rosshan Andrrews’ How Old Are You. Her next two films, Satyan Anthikkad’s Ennum Eppozhum and Aashiq Abu’s Rani Padmini, have been rather disappointing.
Jo & the boy director Rojin Thomas has stated in an interview that Manju has been presented in a new style, unlike the rest of the three films.
Manju is currently shooting for Rajesh Pillai’s Vettah.
