Jiiva-Bobby Simha starrer Kavalai Vendam is all set to hit the screens on Nov 24, this Friday. Touted to be a rom-com, the film has created a good pre-release buzz among fans. Looks like this comedy entertainer will be a perfect stress buster from the economic chaos. The film is directed by Deekay of Yaamirukka Bayamey fame while Kajal Aggarwal plays the leading lady in this emotional drama produced by RS Infotainment. Also, in the star cast is Sunaina, Shruthi Ramakrishna of 144 fame, Mandra, R J Balaji, BalaSaravanan, Mayil Samy and Motta Rajendran. The technical cast comprises of Leon James (music), Abinanthan (camera), Senthil Ragavan (art) and Ruben Antony (editing). Abinesh Elangovan’s Abi & Abi Pictures has bagged the Indian theatrical rights for a whopping price.

After many hiccups, Jiiva-Bobby Simha starrer Kavalai Vendam is all set to hit the screens on Nov 24, this Friday. The latest is that the film has cleared the censor formalities with an UA certificate. Abinesh Elangovan’s Abi & Abi Pictures has bagged the Indian theatrical rights for a whopping price. The film is directed by Deekay of Yaamirukka Bayamey fame while Kajal Aggarwal plays the leading lady in this emotional drama produced by RS Infotainment. Also, in the star cast is Sunaina, Shruthi Ramakrishna of 144 fame, Mandra, R J Balaji, BalaSaravanan, Mayil Samy and Motta Rajendran. Jiiva's Kavalai Vendam starts Rolling in Coonoor
The shooting of Jiiva and Kaajal Aggarwal starrer 'Kavalai Vendam' has kickstarted its full pledged shooting yesterday in Coonoor yesterday on 18th of this month.Jiiva the blue eyed boy of R S Infotainment extends the good charm of the mega hit Ko in 'Kavalai Vendam'as the Hero. Bobby Simha the Hero of 'Ko 2' is teamed up with Jiiva to play the parallel role. Kajal Agarwal is paired opposite Jiiva for the first time in 'kavalai Vendam'. Disappointment for Santhanam Fans
This weekend on the 27th of November, the release of four films , 'Inji Iduppazhagi', '144', 'Uppu Karuvadu' and ‘Valiba Raja’ were announced, but now due to lack of theatres 'Valiba Raja' has been pushed to a later date. 'Vaaliba Raja' brings back the ‘Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya’ team of Santhanam, Sethu, Powerstar Srinivasan and Vishaka Singh and is directed by Sai Gokul Ramanath. Disappointing indeed for Santhanam fans who were keen to watch him in the role of comedic psychiatrist this weekend.
Half of 'Kuselan' tickets exclusive to Rajini Fans
Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kuselan' will grace theaters on the 1st of August and tremendous fanfare is expected from diehard Rajini fans and the general public. The latest news however is that fifty percent of tickets would be made exclusive only to Rajini fans. The president of the Rajinikanth Fans' Association, Sathyanarayana made it very clear that only fifty percent of tickets would be sold at the theaters that screen 'Kuselan' in the initial weeks.. The rest would be distributed to members of the Rajinikanth Fans' Association. When 'Kuselan' was announced, Rajinikanth had reportedly said he will just appear in as many sequences as Mammootty had featured in the original Malayalam film 'Katha Parayumbol'. That is somewhere around 18 minutes in a film whose total duration is144 minutes. That's about fifteen percent of screen time. But then, when 'Kuselan' entered its production stage, the entire plans have changed and the screenplay was altered in such a way that the superstar's screen time would be much higher. This is what probably happens when a big star fits into a small story. As per latest reports, Rajinikanth is appearing in three out of the five songs in the film and will take equal share on screen with Pasupathy who plays the role of the poor barber, played in the original by Sreenivasan. P Vasu, the director of 'Kuselan', has taken special care to present the superstar as being young and vibrant. The director had no inhibitions when he announced that the film would be an out and out Rajinikanth film. The movie is distributed by Pyramid Saimira. In Kerala , the movie is released by Seven Arts International, who incidentally is also a co producer of the film. 'Kuselan' will grace 80 centers in Kerala.
