Shiva is an Indian film actor, starring in Tamil films, and a radio jockey with the radio station Radio Mirchi. Acting mainly as a comedian, he rose to fame following his performances in the Venkat Prabhu directorials Chennai 600028 and Saroja.

Biography

Shiva's first film role was a cameo in the 2001 film 12B. He debuted as a lead actor in Venkat Prabhu's 2007 sports comedy Chennai 600028 alongside ten other debut actors. His next role, again under Venkat's direction, was the thriller Saroja. Both films were box-office hits.

Shiva then starred in Thamizh Padam, a full-length parody of contemporary Tamil cinema, and his performance earned rave reviews. His 2010 comedy Va Quarter Cutting was an average grosser. His first 2011 release became the long-delayed romantic drama Pathinaaru, which was his first non-comedy venture. His recently released film Kalakalappu directed by Sundar C. in which he acts alongside with Vimal, The movie received positive review for entertaining the audience full of comedy.His next movie projects going to be under the direction of Amudhan, Venkatprabhu and Gnana Rajasekaran and he is also said to be signed a film titled Ulta directed by newcomer Aravind.
