6 month old Taiwan panda introduced to adoring public
A six-month old giant panda was unveiled to her adoring public in Taiwan on Monday, as long lines of children of all ages queued up at the Taipei zoo to see the cub cavorting around her cage with an understandably protective mother. Yuan Zai's debut had long been anticipated on this island of 23 million people. With delighted visitors passing in front of her cage at the rate of 40 per minute, Yuan Zai showed off her climbing skills before retreating to mother Yuan Yuan's embrace, and then heading off for a nap. She currently sleeps 20 hours a day. Zoo officials say they will be able to accommodate 19,000 visitors a day to see Yuan Zai, whose mother and father came to Taiwan from China in late 2008. Their arrival was seen at the time as a high water mark in Beijing's use of "soft power" in Taiwan, which split from the mainland amid civil war in 1949, and remains the object of unwavering Chinese attempts to bring it back into the fold — by persuasion if possible, by force if necessary. But politics seemed to be about the last thing on the minds of Yuan Zai's fan base Monday as again and again visitors' faces lit up with broad smiles amid giggles of glee and repeated cries of "how cute" or "how beautiful." Chinese giant pandas have been a hit all around the world, but they seem to have a special cachet in Taiwan, where animal figures are so much in vogue that Taiwanese airline company Eva Airways has found that festooning its aircraft in the livery of fictional Japanese figure Hello Kitty provides a powerful boost to sales.
6 top features of the new Apple iPhone 6s
Apple has done it again. The iPhone 6s is a remarkable phone with several unique features. Some are designed to help you stay productive at work, others are just purely for fun. Here are my top picks. 1. 12 megapixel camera The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus both let you snap photos using a new 12-megapixel camera. That’s 4 megapixels higher than the iPhone 6 and enough to make you question whether you can leave the pocket digital camera at home -- permanently. One huge benefit is that, if you don’t like the photo, you can crop it and resize it later and it won’t look fuzzy. 2. Much faster Wi-Fi Apple claims the iPhone 6s can connect at up to 866 Mbps thanks to the new MIMO (multiple-input and multiple-output) support, a router technology that speeds up transmissions. Note that you need to connect to a Wi-Fi router that supports 802.11ac MIMO, such as the Netgear Nighthawk X4 Smart WiFi Router AC2350. 3. Hey Siri without the cable charger Previous iPhone models let you say “Hey Siri” to activate the voice assistant, but your phone had to be connected to a USB charging cable. The new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus let you talk to your phone even when it isn’t charging. Just be sure to enable the feature under settings. You can say “Hey Siri” and ask about the weather at any time without touching the phone. 4. Magic photos This feature is one you can use to impress friends. The iPhone 6s can automatically create an animated photo, which Apple calls a Live Photo. The phone captures some video right before and after you snap a photo (thankfully, most of us hold the camera still before we click to shoot). Note that if you want to see the animated photo, press and hold down on it in the Camera Roll. 5. Text message live links Speaking of pressing and holding down - if you get a text message from a friend with a link to a site, press and hold down on the link to see a preview. It’s cool because you can decide if you really want to leave the messaging app and start your browser just to see a cat meme. This feature works because the iPhone 6s can tell how hard you are pressing on the screen thanks to its 3D Touch feature. 6. Wi-Fi offloading This is a bit of a controversial feature, because the iPhone 6s can automatically detect a weak Wi-Fi signal and start using your data connection instead. Maybe that means you pay more in data fees, but if you have an unlimited plan, it’s a godsend. It means that YouTube video you are watching won’t stall out and your high-def audio stream won’t falter.

The actor has now become more selective about the projects and his upcoming films do stand as a testimony to that. Here we list the 6 upcoming projects of Fahadh Faasil. Maheshinte Prathikaaram was a kind of rejuvenation for the actor. It was after a big break that Fahadh Faasil got a hit, and more importantly, the film is the first solo blockbuster in the career of Fahadh Faasil, so far. In fact, most of the projects mentioned in the above list are high on hopes. Moreover, Fahadh Faasil is all set to make his debut in Tamil films, shortly. The actor has selected M Raja's film as his Tamil debut. Sivakarthikeyan does the lead role in the film.
