More news →'Karthikeya' sequel to roll from next year
Actor Nikhil Siddhartha has confirmed that the sequel to his hit Telugu thriller "Karthikeya" is on the cards and it will go on floors next year. "The sequel will start from where it was left off in 'Karthikeya'. We want to make this a genuine franchise and, hence, will avoid calling it 'Karthikeya 2'. We will retain the title 'Karthikeya' and will add a tagline to it," Nikhil told. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film featured Nikhil and Swati Reddy in the lead. It revolved around the mysterious deaths of the people who tried to unravel some secrets about a closed temple. Quoting the example of "Sherlock Holmes" franchise, he said, "This is the kind of franchise we want to build. Chandoo already has a wonderful script and we're confident that it will work and expand the franchise". Nikhil, who is currently basking in the success of Telugu crime-comedy "Shankarabharanam", will start shooting for a yet-untitled fantasy drama in the language later this month.
Siva Karthikeyan Achieved It!
The basic intent of pitting ‘Remo’ against other highly promoted films released in Telugu in last couple of weeks is to provide a decent launch pad for hero Siva Karthikeyan. Apparently, he is a star hero in Tamil but isn’t introduced to Telugu audience so far. ‘Remo’ is of course a dubbed version to Tamil with same title yet the reactions from Telugu cinema lovers in two states is equal to that of original Tamil version.When Dil Raju took the major responsibility of managing a very big release in Telugu, half of the stress on Siva Karthikeyan would have been relieved and so is for producer RD Raja. Trade reports say, ‘Remo’ is doing a decent business and audience are thoroughly enjoying the colorful humorous romantic entertainer with perpendicular rise in weekend revenues.‘I did not expect this sort of openings for a Tamil hero in Telugu. But, I am glad audience accepted Siva Karthikeyan. Now, I will plan to do a direct and proper Telugu film with him,’ producer RD Raja informed. Presence of Keerthy Suresh as heroine and absolutely stunning camera work from PC Sreeram are other reasons to have made our audience hook to ‘Remo.’
Aadi's remake of Karthikeya...?

Nikhil, Swathi film Karthikeya launched
Nikhil and Swathi had recently scored a hit with Swamy Ra Ra and the duo is back for yet another film which has been titled Karthikeya The first look and the title have been announced today along with formal launch of the film. Nikhil plays the title role and he informs that it’s apt for the script. Nikhil tweeted, “My New Movie has been Titled "KARTHIKEYA" it is my 10th Movie.. Entered Double Digits... Hope it keeps up the expectations set by #SwamyRaRa. The Title of the movie KARTHIKEYA is apt for the script... After watching the movie u will all understand why.” Karthikeya is being directed by Chandu Mondeti and produced by Venkata Srinivas Boggaram on Magnus Cine Prime banner in Shiruvuri Rajesh Varma presentation.
'Karthika Masam' shooting in progress
The shooting of 'Karthika Masam' directed by Geddada Anandababu and produced by Anaparthi Sivarama Krishna on the banner of Mallikarjun Movies with popular Shaivaite temples in its backdrop, with Yashwant as hero is progressing well. The film had recently completed its first schedule. Speaking on the occasion, director says, 'A family goes on a pilgrimage to visit the Pancharamas and the film was based on this tour. It is a complete devotional movie. We have shot some important scenes during the first schedule. There are a total of nine songs in the movie and recording of all the songs was completed recently.' Naresh, Tanikella Bharani, LB Sriram, Annapurna, Kavita, Delhi Rajeswari, Ramireddy, Narra and others are in the cast. Lakshmi Vinayak is scoring music for the flick.
Karthika will stun audiences with stunts
Actress Karthika Nair will be seen in an action avatar for the first time in upcoming yet-untitled Telugu action comedy and the director of the film feels that actress will stun audiences with her stunts in the movie. "Karthika has put on her action boots for this film. She plays a courageous sister who comes to the rescue of the hero whenever he's in trouble. She will stun audiences with her stunts in the movie," Chinni Krishna told. "She plays a character on par with the hero. Usually women in films are only used for glamour but I have completely changed with Karthika's role in my film. It's a rare character that she has landed and she's done justice to it," he added. The makers, who will complete shooting by the first week of August, want audiences to find a suitable title for the film. "We want audiences to find us a suitable title. We've even started a contest on Facebook for the same and the one who comes up with the best title will be rewarded," he said. The film also features Allari Naresh and Harshvardhan Rane in important roles.
