Producer Salem Chandrasekhar has opted for a novel way to commence his forthcoming movie Khilladi starring Bharath and Nila. He has come out with a calendar containing photographs of the actor and the actress. Special photo sessions were held for the purpose in Pollachi and its adjoining areas. The calendar also contains details about the crew involved in making the movie. A Venkatesh will be directing this movie. Says Chandrasekhar, 'We wanted to try something novel to announce our arrival. With the New Year fast approaching, we decided to come out with the calendar. When people check out for dates, they would be reminded of the movie,' he adds. The movie which went to floors on Friday will be released next summer
Khilladi moving fast
Director A Venkatesh's Khilladi is fast progressing. The movie, produced by Salem Chandrasekhar and featuring Bharath and Nila in the lead roles, is being shot in and around Madurai. R Madhi, who handled cinematography for director Shankar's home production Veyyil has been assigned the task of cranking the camera for this film. Madhi won accolades for his work in Veyyil and hence one hopes that his visual approach in the film would work wonders as well. With people who know a thing or two about success joining as a team, well, this film could be one of the most entertaining commercial potboilers of our times. Let's wait and see.
Khilladi goes slow
Bharath is busy giving final touches to his Nepali. Directed by V Z Durai, the movie features Bharath in the role of a Nepali youth. Meanwhile, the shooting for Bharath's Khilladi has been halted. Directed by A Venkatesh, Khilladi features Bharath and Nila and the movie went to floors a few months ago. Why a delay in completion of Khlladi? Venkatesh says, 'Unfortunately the producer Salem Chandrasekhar has suffered huge losses at the failure of his last production venture Sabari. We chose to halt the production of Khilladi and resume it only when things stabilize. There is no difference of opinion between me and the producer'. Venkatesh is currently wielding the megaphone for Singakutty, which features thespian Sivaji Ganesan's grandson in the lead role. Produced by actress Sri Priya, search is on for a suitable heroine.
Khilladi resumes
Bharath - Nila starrer 'Khilladi' went to floors almost a couple of years ago. Produced by Salem Chandrasekhar, the movie was shot for few days. Due to financial constraints, it was shelved. Now after a long gap, efforts are on to resume the shooting. Director Venkatesh, known for his racy commercial entertainers, has completed 'Durai' starring Arjun, and is back to shoot 'Khilladi'. Bharath has grown to become a force to reckon with in the industry. He has rendered several hits and is acting in director Hari's 'Sevval' followed by a movie with Suresh Krissna and K S Ravikumar. ''Khilladi' is a racy entertainer and is full of thrills and action', says Venkatesh. It may be recalled that Jeevan's 'Thotta' met with a similar fate. It was completed after much difficulty and the movie managed to become a hit running for 100 days.
Muhurat of Khilladi tomorrow
Khilladi is the new offering from director A. Venkatesh. The muhurat of this new film, produced by Salem A Chandrasekharan for Sri Saravana Creations, will be held at the AC Floor of AVM Studios tomorrow morning. This film brings together Bharath and Nila for the first time. Cinematography is by Gopinath. Music is taken care of by Srikanth Deva and V T Vijayan is the editor for this film. Vaali writes the lyrics. Looks like it is an interesting combination to watch out for.
Back after a break - Khilladi
Bharath starrer 'Khilladi' went to floors almost a year back. The movie was shelved due to some reasons unknown. However the good news for Bharath fans is that the movie will be resumed now. 'Khilladi' stars Nila opposite Bharath and is directed by A Venkatesh, known for churning out commercial masala entertainers. He is currently directing Sarath Kumar for 'Imaya Malai', 'Vaa Da' with Sundar C, 'Durai' starring Arjun and Arun Vijay's 'Malai Malai'. 'Khilladi' is an action-packed entertainer and would be completed in one go, says sources close to the director. Bharath is shooting for 'Sevval' and has agreed to do a movie with Suresh Krissna titled 'Arumugham'.
