More news →'Lakshmi Bomb, most powerful since Justice Rudramadevi'
Lakshmi Manchu's next, titled as 'Lakshmi Bomb', comes with the caption 'From Sivakasi'. Directed by Gopalakrishna, it is produced by Vella MounikaChandrasekhar and Uma Lakshmi Narasimha. Touted as a comedy, the movie is currently in post-production phase. Lakshmi Manchu is playing an upright judge's character here. The title is because her character is as explosive as the Deepavali's 'Lakshmi Bomb'. "This has been a challenging and exciting project. The entire shoot was completed in a single schedule, at a stretch. The climax fight was filmed under the aegis of brother Manoj. The film will be released for Diwali", the Manchu lady says. Gunapati Suresh Reddy, the presenter says, "We were able to complete the shoot as per schedule. The fights and songs will be a major highlight. The audio will be out in the month of September". "The film is coming out very well. We are planning to release it as soon as possible once we are done with the shoot in Aug," the producers say. Director Karthikeya says, "After Jayaprada garu's 'Justice Rudrama Devi', this is the most powerful role. The climax action sequences are an asset. Our film is a new concept altogether. Sunil Kashyap is composing the music." Posani, Hema Prabhakar, Rakesh, Amith, Jeeva, Raghu Babu, Sharat, Raja Ravindra are part of the cast. Story and dialogues are by Darling Swamy. Art direction is by Raghu Kulkarni. Dance choreography is by Raghu. Cinematography is by Anji.
Lakshmi Kalyanam - A title is ready
These days giving a name to a film is a tricky exercise. So many things have to be factored in. That is why heroes and directors begin shooting without a name to the project. Kalyan Ram and Teja did so and proceeded with their work on the new film. But, if sources are to be believed, the director seems to have zeroed in on a title. The Teja-Kalyan Ram project is now tentatively named Lakshmi Kalyanam. Geeta Art Pictures banner is producing the film. Kajal Agarwal is the heroine. K. Mahendra is presenting the film while Jeetu is the producer.
Lakshmi Narasimha Production No. 2 launched
Nallamalupu Srinivas (Bujji) who gave a sensational hit film like 'Lakshmi' had launched yet another prestigious film on the banner of 'Lakshmi Narasimha Productions' as Production No. 2, with Gopichand, who earned a massive mass image with 'Yagnam and Ranam' as hero and Anushka, who proved a successful heroine with 'Super and Vikramarkudu' as heroine. At the same time, the producer is introducing Srivasu, who gained 10 years of experience in the direction department by working as associate with great director like Krishnavamsi as director through this film. The shooting of the film was launched amidst several prominent Tollywood personalities including Young Tiger NT Ramarao, Victory Venkatesh, D Suresh Babu, KL Narayana, VV Vinayak, Surender Reddy, Dil Raju and Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy. NTR gave the clap, while Victory Venkatesh switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised on Gopichand and Anushka under the honorary direction of dynamic director VV Vinayak. Music director Ramana Gogula says, 'I am very happy for working with this banner again for the second film after the success of 'Lakshmi'. I heard the story of the film and it is quite good and a massive subject. It has lots of scope for situational songs. The storyline is good and it got a perfect casting. Everyone is best in this film. I will definitely give good tunes to this film. We have already started recording for that matter.' Gopichand says, 'The producer is very committed and the director is talented. I am very lucky for getting such a combination. The subject had lots of mass elements. Though he is a debutant director, his narration is wonderful. Mine is a college student role in this film. The audiences would get a feel of watching real life incidents. The producer is making the film with good commercial points. I am sure this will be a very good film in my career.' Anushka says, 'Music director Ramana Gogula came to me along with the producer and director and narrated my character. It is quite good and the film in itself has a good subject. For the first time I am doing in a new combination. Though this is the first film for the director, he looked that he had a good grip on the story. I am sure that the film would be a definite hit.' Director Srivasu says, 'I am in the film industry for the past 10 years. I worked with Kasi Viswanath and also with Krishnavamsi. The film will be a pucca mass entertainer and the hero characterization would reach the expectations of the audiences in general and the fans of Gopichand in particular. Ramana Gogula is giving good music for this film. Moreover, cinematographer Sekhar V Joseph will be another big asset for the film. I thank producer Bujji for giving me this opportunity.' Producer Nallamalupu Srinivas says, 'I thank one and all who are working for this film. The regular shooting of the film would begin from December 15 and would continued till the end of the shooting. There will be six songs in this film.'
'Lakshmi Kalyanam' nearing completion
The shooting of 'Lakshmi Kalyanam' directed by Teja and produced by K Mahendra with Kalyan Ram, Suhasini and debutant heroine Kajal in the lead, was almost complete, but for the canning of two songs is remaining. The remaining two songs would be choreographed in November. The audio of the film, for which RP Patnaik gave melodious music for eight songs, would be released in November. For the first time, Paruchuri brothers joined hands with Teja to pen dialogues for the film. The producer is planning to release the film in the second week of December.
'Lakshmi Kalyanam' completes talkie
Kalyan Ram, who earned a good recognition with films like 'Atanokkade' and 'Asadhyudu' is playing the hero in 'Lakshmi Kalyanam' directed by Teja and produced by K Mahendra. The film had completed its talkie part shoot very recently. A new face, Kajal is being introduced as heroine through this film, while Suhasini of 'Chantigadu'-fame is playing another heroine. Once again RP Patnaik joined hands with Teja after 'Chitram, Nuvvu-Nenu, Jayam and Nijam' for this film and their success streak would continue further. For the first time, Paruchuri Brothers are working for Teja's film as dialogue writers. The film is most likely to be released in November.
Lakshmi Ganapathi Films to bring out straight movie
Producer B Subrahmanyam of Lakshmi Ganapathi Films had brought in several successful dubbing films right from the Hollywood to Kollywood. His film 'Aparichitudu' had collected revenue more than many of the straight Telugu films. It is reliably learnt that this successful producer is planning a straight Telugu film now and the story is also ready. The film would be launched formally during the Sankranthi in 2007 and would be released as a summer special. It is also learnt that Gopichand is being roped in as hero for the film. But the production unit is keeping everything very secret. Presently, Lakshmi Ganapathi Films is busy in distributing some Telugu films like 'Adhi Lakshmi' featuring Srikanth, Vadde Naveen and Sridevi and 'Allare Allari' with Venu, Allari Naresh in the lead.
