Suseenthiran's Maaveeran Kittu, which has Vishnu Vishal and Sri Divya in the lead, is ready to grace theatres on Dec 2. Many theatres have opened the advance bookings. Set in the 80s in a small village called Puthur, the film is inspired by a series of real-life events. Vishnu will play a student who hails from a poor family while Parthiban, who owns a printing press, is his well-wisher and sponsor. A social issue changes both their lives and the struggle begins. The film is produced by Nallu Samy Pictures and Asian Cine Combines.
Producer Thai Saravanan talks about Vishnu Vishal's Maaveeran Kittu
Maaveeran Kittu, directed by Suseenthiran, starring Vishnu Vishal, Sri Divya and Parthiepan is fast progressing, shooting in and around Tamilnadu areas. When we talked to the producer of the film, Thai Saravanan, he said “Maaveeran Kittu will be set up in 1980s backdrop and will be the biggest film for Vishnu Vishal in his career, in terms of production. We are currently shooting in places like Pazhani, Ottanchathiram, where we earlier shot our first film ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’. By this month end, we will almost wrap up the shoot. Few remaining scenes will be shot in Kodaikanal and Athirappilly after that. Even before the shoot could be completed, we have been getting calls from various sides for the first copy.” As promised by the team, the film has been progressing at a breakneck pace as a quickie and we can expect the film to hit the screens very soon.
Maveeran Kittu shoot begins
The shooting of Suseenthiran's Maveeran Kittu, which has Vishnu Vishal and Sri Divya in the lead, has began its shooting today. Vishal released the first look poster of the film on his Twitter handle yesterday. "Here s da 1st look of #maveerankittu Dir by @dir_susee starrin @iamvishnuvishal .luks good.ATB 2 da entire team. GB," he posted.
Maaveeran opening in 110 screens across TN
We have seen many dubbing films in Tamil market but Maaveeran being a dubbing film has earned lost of craze with its promotion and the big way its releasing. Maaveeran is opening on Friday (May 27) in 110 screens in Tamil Nadu and especially 14 screens in Chennai. Maaveeran has Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead and is directed by hit filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The buzz in the tinsel is that Maaveeran is going to break the records of so far released Telugu films in Tamil. The scenes of the film shift from contemporary to period drama and back. The audiences are sure to find a smooth transition which is quite interesting. According to the reports the Telugu version grossed nearly a whooping 150 crores. Maaveeran is being brought to the theatres by Geetha Arts as Red Giant Movies.
Maaveeran audio launched by Kamal
Maaveeran the dubbed version of Tollywood blockbuster Magadheera audio has been launched yesterday (April 25) at a star hotel in Chennai. The audio launch is the biggest ever audio launch for a dubbed film as it took place in a grand manner. Universal Hero Kamal Haasan has launched has handed over the first copy to Maverick director Mani Ratnam, the invitees list includes the film’s director SS Rajamouli, producer Allu Arvind, Allu Sirish and hero Ram Charan Teja apart them director KS Ravikumar, AM Ratnam, Dharani, Suhasini, Udhayanidhi Stalin and Ramanarayanan were spotted at the launch. Two songs and a slick trailer of the film were screened for the special invitees and the media. Maaveeran features Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. The Telugu version currently holds the record of the highest grossing Telugu film of all time. The gross revenue collected by the film is nearly 118 crore and the only Telugu film to gross more than 100 crore. Magadheera had won two National Film Awards for Best Special Effects, and choreography. For director SS Rajamouli, this film will be a huge plus, as his next set of films is going to be bilinguals. Udhayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies is releasing the film in Tamil Nadu mostly during this summer.
Maaveran Collections 8 crores in Tamil Nadu
Ram Charan Tej and Kajal Starer Maaveran (the dubbed version of blockbuster Magadheera) is creating new statistics in terms of business in Tamil Nadu. Reports say that the audiences love this epic love story and are thronging the theaters. According to the latest reports, Maaveran collections amounted to 8 crores already and since the makers spent only 1.5 crores on releasing, the dubbed Maaveran proved to be a money machine. Geetha Arts, the maker of Maaveran, has released the film in collaboration with Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. Even the report from this corner is very positive and are promising.
