More news →Manalo Okadu audio success meet in Tirupathi
'Manalo Okadu', starring RP Patnaik in the role of a lecturer who crusades against a media baron's designs and arrogance, will celebrate the success of its audio on Sept 19 in Tirupathi. The film has been music-directed by RP himself. "The audio has been getting a great response. We are done with the shoot and are doing DTS mixing at present. We have developed the story based on some true incidents", RP says. Producer Jagan Mohan says, "We all know the role of the media in the present circumstances. Our movie comes in this context. We are planning to release the movie in the last week of this month". While Sai Kumar is playing a self-important, loud, arrogant media baron, RP plays a frustrated, explosive, wronged common man. Also starring Anitha Reddy of 'Nuvvu Nenu' fame, the film has Nasser, Tanikella Bharani, Jayaprakash Reddy, Srimukhi, Raghubabu, Banjerjee, Gollapudi Maruthirao, Raja Ravindra, Duvvasi Mohan and others are part of the cast. Cinematography is by SJ Siddharth. Editing is by Uddhav. Dialogues are by Tirumal Nag. RP is the music director. He has written the story and screenplay as well.
Desa Muduru shoot at Manali
The shooting of 'Desa Muduru' directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by DVV Danaiah on the banner of Universal Media, is in progress at Sona bridge, some 20 km from Manali in Himachal Pradesh. Some important fight scenes are being choreographed there under the direction of fight master Vijayan. Hero Allu Arjun, heroine Hansika Motwani, comedians Srinivasa Reddy, Rejesh, Rajani and Sony (the friends gang of the hero and heroine) were involved in the shooting. It may be recalled here that Allu Arjun is playing the role of a crime reporter for a private television channel in this film. Hansika Motwani, a new face being introduced to the Telugu film industry, had an experience as a child artiste. Popular music director Chakri is providing music for the film, while Shyam K Naidu is the cinematographer and Marthand K Venkatesh is looking after the editing.

On the evening of the 18th, Varun Sandesh married his 'Paddanandi Premalo Mari' co-star Vithika Sheru. The marriage ceremony was attended by Varun's friends/well-wishers from the film industry. Varun, who began his career as a lover boy, became friends with Vithika during the shoot of their first and only movie together. From what we know from the actress, it was not love at first sight. "I was nervous when I first shot with Varun Sandesh because he is 17 films old and I am not as experienced. We didn't interact much until two schedules were done. From the third schedule onwards, we became good friends. He is a very supportive co-artist", Vithika said in an interview. Starting off as a child artiste, Vithika has done films like Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu and Prema Ishq Kadhal, among others. IndiaGlitz extends hearty congratulations to the couple. May Varun Sandesh's career take off in a big way in the coming months.
'Manal Kayiru' and the changing times
S.V. Sekar's effort to launch his son Ashwin Sekar was not a fast show. 'Vegam', the movie that marked Ashwin's debut has failed to establish him as a hero in the field. S.V. Sekar, determined to make another effort to give a lift to his son's career, has decided to direct a film featuring his son in the lead. Going by the current tend he has sought to remake the ever green entertainer Manal Kayiru, which celebrated silver jubilee two decades ago. The movie was directed by Visu while S.V. Sekar and Shanthi Krishna played the lead roles. Sekar, who remakes the family entertainer, has made a few changes. In the original the bride groom put some conditions to the bride before marriage. In the new version it is the girl, who puts conditions to the boy. Sekar wants to depict the change of times in his adaptation on Visu's super hit movie. Visu, who has kept himself away from cinema for quite some time, has accepted to play an important role in the new version. Sekar has been meticulously working to make this venture success with a hope that this would provide his son a perfect launch pad.
‘Payanam’ team at Kulu Manali
Nagarjuna, Anushka starrer ‘Payanam’ under the direction of Radha Mohan is currently shooting at Kulu Manali (Himachal Pradesh) for picturizing some important scenes in the film. Nagarjuna is said to be playing the role of a cop in the film. The movie is going to be an action thriller based on a true incident of Kandahar hijack episode and the story is all about how Nag saves a passenger flight that is being hijacked. The movie is being produced by Prakash Raj under the banner ‘Matinee Entertainment Pvt.Ltd’.
Rajini to shoot in Kulu Manali
Actor Rajnikanth, who reiterated to his fans on Monday that cinema is his priority and not politics, will be busy shooting for 'Endhira from 14 November. Says Rajinikanth, ' I would be off to shoot for the animation movie 'Sultan - The Warrior' from Wednesday onwards in Hyderabad. After completing a considerable portion, I would be off to Kulu Manali to shoot for 'Endhiran'. Speaking about 'Endhiran', Rajinikanth said, 'it would be a movie to reckon with in Indian Cinema. It would bring Tamil filmdom greater laurels. A big-budget movie involving versatile technicians from abroad, 'Endhiran' is expected to be technically brilliant. Hopefully we can turn the attention of everyone towards us. I am sure the whole team needs to come out with great dedication and commitment'. Shankar has been giving his heart out and the movie is being made with an enormous budget' he adds. The actor said that he would be doing one more film besides 'Sultan - The Warrior' and 'Endhiran'. When queried, he said, ' I am ready to accept acting in films as long as I have the scope to perform challenging roles with substance'.
