More news →Neram Starts for Nivin Pauly doing Tamil Movie
As we had reported earlier Nivin Pauly will be reentering Kollywood with the Tamil remake of Kannada flick 'Ulidavaru Kandanthe'. This is the Tamil film of the 'Premam' star after a gap of three years since the release of 'Neram'. The film will be directed by Gautham Ramachandran a former associate of Mysskin. Shraddha of Kannada flick 'U Turn' fame has been roped in as the female lead in this film. Pandi Kumar is the cinematographer and Atul is the Editor of this flick. Ajneesh has been retained from the original for the musical score. Now we learn that the new addition to the cast is actor Natty aka Natraj who will be playing an important role in the film. The shooting of the film has begun today in Tuticorin. Nivin and Natty are taking part in the first schedule.
'Kadhalika Neramillai' - On the remake lane
It seems to be the season of remakes in Kollywood. After the likes of 'Naan Avan Illai' and 'Billa', efforts are now on to remake the biggest ever comical hit of Tamil cinema ' 'Kadhalikka Neramillai'. 'Kadhailka Neramaillai' was directed by Sridhar. The movie starring Ravichandran, Muthuraman, Kanchana, Rajashree, Nagesh and Baliyah was a phenomenal hit and it set a new trend in Tamil cinema. Director Manobala had apparently purchased the remake rights of the movie. Now efforts are on by Radaan Media Works to remake the movie in association with Manobala. Buzz is that 'Unnale Unnale' fame Vinay has been approached to do Ravichandran's role, while Prithviraj is expected to play Muthuraman's character. Plans are also on to cast Prakash Raj and Vadivelu in the movie. Yuvanshankar Raja is tipped to score music for the movie.
Manobala to remake Kadhalika Neramillai
No one can ever forget the evergreen hilarious Tamil blockbuster Kadhalika Neramillai. Directed by Sridhar, the movie set a new trend in Tamil cinema featured the Kollywood greats then. Touted as the best humorous film ever made in Tamil cinema, the movie introduced Ravichandran to Tamil filmdom. The comedy sequences involving Nagesh, Balaiah and Muthuraman are still fresh in the minds of film-buffs. Now director Manobala is taking efforts to remake this blockbuster. With films like Naan Avanillai, a remake of yesteryear classic, going on to become a hit, Manobala is keen to remake Kadhalika Neramillai. Search has begun for the star cast.
Remaking Kadhalika Neramillai
The buzz making round in Kollywood is that director Manobala has dared to remake the classic comedy fare 'Kadhalika Neramillai', directed by Sridhar. The hilarious entertainer was a runaway hit and has been among the favorite of movie buffs till the date. Manobala is confident that he could recreate the magic with the current bunch of actors. Prithviraj and Vinay are tipped to be selected to play the roles of Muthuraman and Ravichandran respectively. It is believed that Manobala has approached Vadivelu to play the role of either Balaiyah or Nagesh. Vadivelu, according to sources, is yet to give his nod. The combination of Balaiyah and Nagesh was the highlight of the movie. In fact, the scene depicting Nagesh narrating a horror story to Balaiyah has gained the status of one of the best comedy scenes of Tamil cinema. It is worth recalling that Rajini and Vadivelu have already done a similar scene in 'Chandramukhi' with great success. There has been talk about remaking 'Kadhalika Neramillai', ever since the trend of remaking old films started. The makers of 'Kadhalika Neramillai' remake can draw inspiration from the success of the remakes like 'Naan Avan Ilai' and 'Billa'.
Prasanna, Sneha in 'Kadhalikka Neramillai'

Director K Selvabharathy would be directing the remake of this film. Buzz is that Prasanna has been assigned to do Ravichandran's role, while Prithviraj is expected to play Ravichandran's character. Pasupathi reportedly will do the role enacted by Muthuraman. Vadivelu plays Nagesh while S P Balasubramaniam dons the role of T S Balaiyyah. Sneha is roped in to do Rajashree's role. Yuvan Shankar Raja is tipped to score music for the movie.
'Nestama' makers sign up SV Krishna Reddy
After 'Nestama', Lanka Sivasankar and Lanka Karunakar would be starting a film with SV Krishna Reddy as the director. The producers announced the same at the audio release function of their current film. The cast and rest of the crew hasn't been finalized as yet.
