Shoot of Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s 350cr magnum opus has recently happened at Forum Vijaya Mall, Chennai. As Shankar knew that it is an impossible task to shoot at the mall in working hours , he got permission from the authorities and shot a scene with Akshay Kumar from around 2 AM today. Akshay Kumar plays a baddie in the film and he was recently sported a crow like getup during his Delhi schedule. Sudhanshu Pandey, the Billa 2 villain plays the role of an evil scientist in 2.o and Amy Jakcon is said to be playing the role of Rajini’s assistant in the film.
2.o Update! Here is what Shankar & Team achieved in 100 Days
Director Shankar's upcoming magnum opus film 2.0 starring Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles has now crossed 100 days of shooting.The director himself has took to social media to share about this. He posted on his official facebook page "100th day of 2.o shoot. Ufff...finished 2 major action sequences including d climax n other important heavy vfx sequences with our Superstar n Akshay Kumar.Loading 50%".So, the fifty percentage of shooting is over and so we may expect the film to be complete within the summer 2017.
2.O Chennai Schedule Accomplished?
Rajinikanth`s 2.O which is being directed by Shankar, is one of the most anticipated films of 2017, has now wrapped up its shooting in Chennai. The details regarding the next schedule of shooting is not yet known. Amy Jackson who plays the lead heroine role, has confirmed this on twitter. Meanwhile, the team has celebrated the Ayudha Poojai on the sets, where Rajini was spotted wearing a simple white dress. As most part of the film is to be made with VFX support, the post production works will indeed take several months. Being made with a budget of 350 crore Rupees by Lyca producions, the fiolm may hit the screens for Diwali next year.
Goundamani's '49 O' release date
Earlier today we reported that the long delayed film '49 O' starring ace comedian Goundamani in the lead role will be hitting the screens in September and the audio release will happen on September 6. Now we get information that the inimitable Goundamani is all set to join the Vinayakar Chathurthi race along with G.V.Prakash and Sivakarthikeyan. Posters suggesting that '49 O' will release on September 17 makes way to this conclusion. As reported earlier 'Trisha Illana Nayanthara' and 'Rajini Murugan' are also expected to release on the same day. Lets hope that the film release as planned this time and we get entertained by the most loved comedian of all times very soon.
International costume designer Ror Rodriguez joins '2.o'
Designer Ror Rodriguez, known for his work in the costume department on English television series such as "Dardevil" and "Supergirl", has joined the set of superstar Rajinikanth's "2.o". "Both Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson will be wearing specially designed suits in the film. Ror has been brought on board to design them. He joined the sets since the project went on the floors earlier this month," a source from the film's unit told. Ror has exclusively worked on the suit Charlie Cox wears in "Daredevil", and has also been part of the team that worked on the suit for CBS's "Supergirl". On his official Instagram account ror1819, he has been sharing pictures from the sets of the film, which is the sequel to filmmaker Shankar's 2010 Tamil blockbuster "Enthiran". Tipped to be made on a budget of Rs.350 crore, the film is being produced by Lyca Productions and has music by A.R. Rahman. Parts of the film will be reportedly shot using motion capture technology.
Official Confirmation About Amitabh & Abhishek Bachchan's Cameo In Rajinikanth's '2.O'
A few days ago, centre stage were taken by reports that suggested Hindi stars Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan may make special appearances in Rajinikanth's upcoming film 2.O. The speculation was sparked when the father-son duo were spotted on the sets of the Shankar directorial in New Delhi, where the team of 2.O is currently stationed. Though the fact that Amitabh and Abhishek were present at the shooting spot cannot be denied, sources have rubbished the rumour that claimed they might act in the film. Talking to a leading daily, a person close to the Enthiran director has said, "Both Amitabh and Abhishek met Shankar in person at a well-known hotel near the stadium, where they were shooting the fight sequence. It was a formal meet-and-greet session, and the actors conveyed their wishes to Shankar for the project. As Akshay Kumar was also shooting there, Abhishek visited Akshay, and the two spent some time talking." When asked if the star actors are playing cameos in the film, the source has denied it by saying, "No, there are no such plans. The team is currently shooting with Akshay and Rajini at the stadium. In another 12 days, the Delhi schedule will be wrapped up. They might travel to Morocco for the next schedule."
