According to sources, Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to sign Sikandar Kher for 'Saawariyan', but Sanjay Gupta stuck lucky to launch him in 'Woodstock Villa'. Sikandar Kher, who would soon be making his Bollywood debut, was on the radar of the topmost Bollywood producer who wanted to launch him. But Sanjay Gupta made first strike and Sikandar is all set to make his debut in 'Woodstock Villa'. Sources reveals on how Sanjay Gupta was so impressed by the youngster that he told Kiron Kher, "Your son is a star, nothing can stop him." Sikander is in the mould of Vinod Khanna and Dharmendra who possessed the 'animal magnetism'. Even before his debut release, Sikandar has got the biggest fan following amongst the girls. But since he has started concentrating on his work, Sikandar has decreased the 'Social Night bird' outings. Even before the release of the film, Sikandar is creating waves in the industry. The best of the best are considering him for their banners. Everyone vouches for his potential, since he also comes with a special pedigree. Meanwhile, Sikandar has already signed 2 other big banner films!!

Sikandar Kher is set to set screens on fire. Sanjay Gupta's Woodstock Villa marks Kher's debut and the actor is going to be launched in jhakaas ishstyle! Industry sources reminisces that whenever there are opening shots of the hero on a bike like SRK in Deewana, John Abraham in Dhoom or Sanjay Dutt & Ajay Devgan in their launch , the film has always done exceptionally well and the hero has always established himself in Bollywood. Industry sources who have seen the rushes rave that the opening sequence has been stylishly shot. In fact they say that it reminds them of Tom Cruise entry scene on a bike in the cult classic 'Days of Thunder! The scene introduces Sikandar on a very expensive bike, coming out smoke, has been shot in lavish style that is going to be remembered for a long time to come. In fact the scene will be the talk of the town. Wait and watch!
Sikandar's YRF connection
Ever since Sanjay Gupta launched him in Woodstock Villa, Sikandar Kher has been in news. Firstly he is the son of actors that are powerhouse of talent themselves. Kirron and Anupam Kher don't need an introduction. Using their clout Sikander could have got himself launched a long ago. But the budding actor knew that there is much more than acting than performing a scene mechanically before the camera. Thus he decided to be assistant director first to help him learn that aspect of acting which went beyond the surface. He assisted Yash Chopra during the making of Dil To Pagal Hai. Sikander then assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali during the making of Devdas. In fact Kher Jr. also learnt acting from Delhi's National School of Drama, an acting academy that had honed his father's acting skills.
Sikandar and Mallaya have a great time with Preity and Katrina
Sources have it that Sikandar and Vijay Mallya got along like house on fire during the IPL match in Bangalore. The duo hit it off instantly. Mallya said how he was looking forward to Woodstock Villa, while Sikandar enjoyed watching the match in Bangalore. Both are avid cricket buffs and had a great time along with Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia and Katrina Kaif. They discussed various topics under the sun other than cricket. Mallaya even invited Sikandar to join the gang in his private jet on their way back to Mumbai that Sikandar willingly did! The budding actor, after all, had great company in Katrina, Preity and Ness, apart from Mallya! It may be known that Sikandar promoted Woodstock Villa at the recently held IPL match in Bangalore. Those whom he had gone with were surprised not to see him around anymore. Worried, they hastily called Sikandar asking his whereabouts. And Sikandar just laughed saying he had reached Mumbai already. Air dashing in Vijay Mallya private jet along with Preity, Katrina and Ness to Mumbai is one joy ride Sikandar will never forget!

In his acting debut Woodstock Villa, Sikandar has portrayed fine acting skills. Sikandar, who plays a Casanova, seems quite confident. He suits the image of a playboy, who constantly gets into trouble. It does not look like this is his first performance on screen. Though the film has few dialogues, Sikandar says his lines well. He is perfect in his acting. We wouldn't be surprised if Sikander Kher wins the style icon award of the year. The performance of the debutant actor is absolutely awesome as he has surely made his presence felt at the screen and has proved his acting skill. He is attractive in his own unconventional way and does complete justice to his role. Quite strong in presence, he exudes dewy freshness and confidence. Sanjay Gupta has a history of introducing newcomers in his films in a very stylish and sleek manner. Sikandar's introductory shot on the bike depicts the same in Woodstock Villa.
