Suriya’s upcoming commercial mass entertainer Singam 2 is set for a release on July 5. Though it was initially planned for June last week release, now it has been postponed and producers Prince Pictures have confirmed that it will hit he screens on 5th July. With Suriya in the role of Dorai Singam as a powerful cop in continuation to its prequel, the sequel version also casts Anushka while Hansika accompanies them in second part. Hari wielded the megaphone for the movie. Singam 2 will be simultaneously releasing in the Telugu and Tamil version. The Telugu version has been titled Singam. Vivek, Radha Ravi, Nassar, Danny Sapani, Muskesh Rishi and Santhanam played prominent roles in this Devi Sri Prasad musical flick.
Singam 2 censor on June 26
Suriya’s forthcoming film Singam 2 is set for a release on July 5 on a grand scale in both Tamil and Telugu versions. The Telugu version titled Singam audio was launched in Hyderabad on July 23. Meanwhile, the censor formalities of the film will be cleared on June 26, on Wednesday, while the overseas prints will be dispatched on 28th June. Singam 2 is a sequel to highly successful 2010 Tamil action-drama Singam. Hari Gopalakrishnan, who had directed the first part, wielded the megaphone for the sequel too. The film is produced by K.E.Gnanvel Raja and has music by Devi Sri Prasad The film also features Anushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Vivek, Santhanam, Radha Ravi, Nassar, Vijay Kumar, K. Vishwanath and Manorama.
Singam 2' passed with U certificate
Suriya-starrer Tamil action-drama "Singam 2" has been cleared with a U certificate with no cuts by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film releases worldwide July 5. "Singam 2" is the sequel to highly successful "Singam". It will release in 2,400 theaters, Prince Pictures, the producers, announced in a statement Thursday. Also starring Anushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Vivek and Santhanam in important roles, "Singam 2" is directed by Hari Gopalakrishnan, who had previously helmed the first movie. Suriya returns in the role of a righteous young cop in the sequel and he will lock horns with an international villain, played by Hollywood actor Danny Sapani, who is known for films such as "Oxford Murders" and "Trance".
Singam 2 released in record number of screens
Suriya’s Singam 2 in the direction of Hari has hit the big-screens today in record number of theaters amidst huge expectations. Singam 2 is slated for release 2366 screens in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi version which is slated for a release next week. Anushka and Hansika are playing the lead ladies. Hollywood actor Danny Sapani is playing a pivotal role and Santhanam, Vivek, Nassar, Radha Ravi are playing the supporting roles. Singam 2 has Priyan’s cinematography and V.T.Vijayan’s editing. Devi Sri Prasad composed the tunes. The film has taken shape in the direction of Hari and Prince Pictures produced this out and out commercial mass entertainer.
Suriya busy with Singam 2 promotions
Suriya has wrapped up his works for Singam 2 and the actor is currently busy with the pre-release promotional activities. Recently, he was seen in AP for the Telugu dubbed version trailer launch of Singam and now Suriya is in Kochi for the film’s promotion. Suriya is excited about the Singam 2 release and he is confident with the audio being huge hit. The Star actor received grand welcome in Kochi by the Malayalam fans and he has interacted with the media and fans.The actor also informed that he would do a straight Malayalam film if good script comes his way. Hari directed Singam 2 casts Anushka, Hansika, Vivek and Santhanam in the other leads besides Suriya. The film is gearing up for a worldwide release on June 14
Hollywood villain dubs in own voice for 'Singam 2'
Danny Sapani, who is playing the antagonist in upcoming Suriya-starrer Tamil action-drama "Singam 2", is dubbing in his voice for the movie, in London. Sapani has earlier starred in English films such as "Trance", "Mercenaries" and "The Oxford Murders". "Danny Sapani is dubbing in his own voice for the film in London under the supervision of director Hari Gopalakrishnan. For the first time in Tamil cinema, a Hollywood actor is dubbing in his own voice," said a statement from the production house Prince Pictures. Danny locks horns with Suriya in the much-anticipated sequel to Tamil blockbuster "Singam". "The scenes between Danny and Suriya have been canned in South Africa, and one of the biggest highlights will be the fight scene between them," Hari recently said at an event. The film also features Anushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Santhanam, Vivek, Nassar, Radha Ravi, Vijayakumar and Anjali. The film, which has music by Devi Sri Prasad, hits the screens July 5.
