Actor Jayam Ravi is still soaking in the overwhelming response to his latest Tamil outing "Thani Oruvan", which has grossed over Rs.50 crore in 10 days since its release, thus emerging as a blockbuster. "I can't express my happiness in words. This success means a lot to me and my brother. The film has turned out to be the biggest hit of my career," Ravi told. "Thani Oruvan", a cat-and-mouse thriller between the hero and the antagonist, has grossed Rs.51.08 crore in 10 days worldwide. Directed by Ravi's brother M. Raja, the film also features Arvind Swami and Nayanthara in important roles. The film has been raved critically as well as commercially.
Thani Oruvan Telugu Remake gets Title
JayamRavi and Nayanthara starrer Tamil film 'Thani Oruvan' is now being remade in Telugu and it will have Ram charan and Rakul Preet in the lead roles. Directed by Surrendar Reddy, the film is expected to start shooting on 18th February.The latest update is that the makers have decided to name the film as "Dhruva", and the official announcement is yet to come.Arvind Swamy who played villain the Tamil version, will be reprising the same in the Telugu remake too.Thani oruvan has got sensational response from Tamil audience, and the thrilling plot will also much impress the Tollywood fans.
'Thani Oruvan' Actor Added to 'Vijay 60' Star Cast
After 'Theri' that has shattered Box office opening records across the globe,Ilayathalapathy Vijay has moved on to his landmark 60th film directed by Bharathan of 'Azhagiya Tamil Magan' fame. The yet to be titled film called as 'Vijay 60' has been launched last week and shooting went on for a couple of days. The shooting of this mammoth venture produced by the prestigious Vijay Productions banner is set to recommence in May after the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections and expected to be completed sooner than expected. The star cast includes Vijay and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles. while Jagapati Babu and Daniel Balaji will be playing negative characters. It is none other than actor Harish Uthaman who has given impressive performances in 'Thani Oruvan', 'Pandiyanadu' and a few other super hit flicks in Tamil. He has acted in an important role in director Prabhu Solomon's 'Thodari' with Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles. 'Vijay 60' is Harish's first ever film with Vijay and we hope this will serve as a tremendous boost in his acting career. as he gets to play a pivotal character with multiple shades in the film.
Thani Oruvan Remake! Ram Charan and Rakul Preet heads to Kashmir
Ram Charan will be featuring in the remake of the Tamil superhit film Thani Oruvan, and the shooting will commence next month in Kashmir.Director Surendar Reddy and his team will be shooting there for about two weeks and important sequences and a song featuring Ram Charan and Rakul Preet singh will be shot there.
