Ahead of its release on Aug 13, Sai Dharam Tej's Thikka has undergone the censor formalities. The film has been certified with U/A. Larissa Bonesi and Mannara Chopra are the heroines. × Producer Dr. C. Rohin Reddy said, "We have made this movie without compromising anywhere on quality. Thaman's energetic music will click not only with Mega fans, but also the audience in general. The songs match up to the energy levels of Teju. Sunil Reddy has executed the comedy portions in a new way. Ali, Raghu Babu, Posani, Prabhas Seenu, Sapthagiri, Vennela Kishore and such top comedians are acting in our movie. Thikka lost with Numbers Game
Mega hero Allu Arjun's Sarrainodu has recently proved a point that irrespective of poor ratings and average opinions, a film could fetch 76 crores share from box office. Will that repeat in Saidharam's case as well? Probably Thikka makers have expected the same that the film will be liked by audiences though critics gave thumbs down. Shockingly, Thikka amassed 3.17 crores 'share' from box office from first two days, (Saturday and Sunday) and that's quite low when compared with Saidharam's previous films. Seems like the urbane content of the film isn't liked by audiences as well as and the collections of the film reflect same. Directed by Om 3D fame Sunil Reddy, Thikka has Larissa Bonesi playing Saidharam's heroine and Thaman scoring he music.

Sai Dharam Tej was in full swing before release of Thikka with back to back hits is in worrisome with unexpected result of the Sunil Reddy directed film. New producer Rohin Reddy made the film with a whopping budget of Rs 22 crores which is highest in Sai Dharam Tej's career. It is tough for Thikka even to recover half of the budget, which means the movie provides huge losses to the producer. Don't worry! Apparently, the result may not bother the producer since he is said to be a rich man. Moreover, Rohin Reddy is nephew to former minister and congress senior leader Jana Reddy. Sunil Reddy's debut directorial Om 3D was a flop. He got another chance with his close friend Rohin Reddy coming forward to invest big amount on Thikka. The producer hasn't compromised on anything to make this film which has richness in all the frames. The makers didn't complain on their hero Sai Dharam Tej for skipping promotional events post release of Thikka. They still are promoting the movie which may not be useful with the movie got extreme negative talk post release. We need to wait and see whether Rohin Reddy will continue making films or quit the industry to look after his other businesses!
Sai Dharam Thikka progressing in Ladakh
Mega actor Sai Dharam Tej is busy in the shoot of upcoming romantic and comedy entertainer movie ‘Thikka’ under the direction of ‘Om 3 D’ fame Sunil Reddy. The makers have wrapped the entire shoot of the movie except a song. Currently entire film unit is in Leh and busy in canning the song in the scenic locations of Leh on the lead pair. After this shoot schedule, the entire shoot of Thikka will be wrapped and the post production work will be started by the end of this month. Actress Larissa Bonesi is playing the female lead role. Sai Dharam Tej is playing the role of Aditya who is a employee of construction company and after falling in love, disturbance happens in the relationship leading to break up. According to director, actor is the villain in his life. Rajendra Prasad is playing the role of Sai’s father whereas Rao Ramesh will be seen in actress’s father. Rohin Reddy is bankrolling this upcoming youthful entertainer movie under Sri Venkateswara Movie Makers whereas the music is scored by SS Thaman. The makers are planning to release the movie is August.
Secret behind Thikka heroine's Telugu talk
Wherever she goes, heroine Larissa Bonesi is speaking bits in Telugu and also understanding the language as well. As she hails from Brazil, but not any Indian state that she finds the language close, how come this is possible? After watching in IPL ad, we hear that producer Rohin Reddy suggested Larissa's name to hero Saidharam and director Sunil Reddy. Then after she's finalised, this hottie shifted to Hyderabad and took classes in Telugu. Also she went to coffee shops and other places with her tutor, in order to get to understand body language of Telugu girls. Larissa will be featured in "Thikka" alongside Saidharam Tej and the film is hitting screens on August 13th in a grand scale.
Wake Up 'Thikka'!
Senior actor Venkatesh's 'Babu Bangaram' is going to hit the marquee this Friday amidst huge expectations. As the trailers impressed the audience big time, trade experts say that this film will be a successful venture. But, Sai Dharam Tej's 'Thikka' which is competing with Venky's film is suffering from low promotions. The entire focus is on 'Babu Bangaram' that 'Thikka' is completely ignored. The advance booking of both these films shows the difference. Though Sai Dharam scored two bback-to-back hits with 'Subramanyam for Sale' and 'Supreme', the expectations are quite low on 'Thikka'. The makers need to take care of promotions as films like 'Manamantha' which got positive talk is suffering from poor collections due to low publicity. But, the team 'Thikka' are pretty confident on the film's content. The film is directed by Sunil Reddy, who delivered a disaster like 'Om 3D' earlier. Thaman's music too got good response. We need to wait till 13th to know what happens.
