More news →Jiiva plays a rowdy in Thirunaal
With Jiiva-Nayantara starrer Thirunaal all set to hit the screens on August 5, we hear that the actor will play a rowdy (Blade) in the film while Nayantara will appear as a school teacher. The film has a thin story of a rowdy living in Kumbakonam--an emotional subject with a light-hearted treatment. Directed by Ramnath, the film will have Jiiva and Nayantara playing the role of a village-based character, along with Karunaas, Meenakshi and Joe Malluri in the supporting cast. Produced by Kothandapani Films, Cinematography is handled by Mahesh Muthuswamy and Sri Thenandal Films is releasing it in Tamil Nadu.
Jeeva, Nayantara look in Thirunaal revealed!
Handsome Tamil star Jeeva and Nayantara are busy shooting for their upcoming Tamil entertainer titled 'Thirunaal'. Shooting is progressing at a brisk pace in the hands of director Ramnath in Kumbakonam. Jeeva is playing the role as a rowdy in the movie, hence sporting a tan look with a moustache. Where as Nayantara will be seen as a teacher. After releasing few onlocation stills of Jeeva, makers have now released Jeeva-Nayantara pics from Thirunaal set. The E pair is back with more gracious look. Jeeva's Thirunaal is an out and out action entertainer that enjoys Sri's music, cinematographer Shakti, editor VT Vijayan and art director Seenu among Thirunaal technical crew.
Thiruvaalar Thirumathi, a new game show
Radaan Mediaworks is well known for their game shows and soaps and they are one of the prominent production houses in Chennai today. Thirumavalavan back to acting
Thol Thirumavalavan is back to business of acting, that is. After some hectic activity on the political field, the Dalit leader would commence shooting for the movie Anbu Thozhi. Thirumavalavan, who as part of his Tamil Protection Movement, organised protests against actors in Kollywood, surprised everyone by taking a jump to acting with Anbu Thozi. He plays a Tamil protagonist in the movie. When Tamilnadu went for polls, Thirumavalavan stopped shooting and concentrated on campaigning after forging an alliance with AIADMK. With elections over, Thirumavalavan is back in action to commence shooting for Anbu Thozhi. Thiruma's portions would be shot from next week.
Thiruvalluvar in Denmark
When many NRI Tamils come to Tamil Nadu to produce Tamil films, here is a man who makes a Tamil film in Denmark. K.S. Durai, the Sri Lankan Tamil living in Denmark, is making a Tamil movie that gives thrust to the glory and the potential of Tamil language. 'Let us rule the world through our language Tamil' ' is the theme of the story. While Durai has made the local boy Vasanth as hero, he has cast Karunas, Sriman, Poornitha, and Suji Bala from Tamil Nadu in important roles. Vasanth, being a computer engineer in Denmark, takes care of the graphics work for the film. Director Durai says that the quality of Tsunami scenes created by Vasanth in graphics is on par with that of Hollywood films. The shooting is in progress in one of the 500 islands surrounding Denmark. A huge Thiruvalluvar statue has been installed in the island for the shooting. Durai, who talks about Valluvar and Thirumoolar for hours together, is teaching Tamil in Denmark.
Thirumalai ties the nuptial knot
Director Thirumalai, who directed the Karan starrer, 'Thee Nagar', has entered wedlock with Nadhiya at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Thirumalai recently. Only close friends and relatives were invited for the wedding ceremony, which was arranged by the elders of both families. An assistant director who had worked in several Hindi films, Thirumalai became director with 'Thee Nagar', an average performer at the box office. He is currently directing 'Agam Puram', which has Shaam in the lead. musicmazaa wishes Thirumalai a happy married life!!
