Dhanush's Anegan has taken homogeneous openings though released in limited screens due to Ajith-Gautam Menon's Yennai Arindhaal. Directed by KV Anand, Anegan has hit the screens on 13th February and minted Rs.20 Cr in the first two days of its release. Dhanush who has jointly distributed Anegan in association with producers AGS Entertainments confirmed the reports. “#anegan 2 days 20 crores don't know how 2 thank you all for this humongous opening.i feel humbled overwhelmed nd encouraged.#blockbuster”, posted Dhanush in his twitter page. Amyra Dastur, Aishwarya Deva, Karthik and others starred Anegan is a Harris Jayaraj musical running successfully in theaters and declared as blockbuster.
Anegan 100 Days!
National Award winner Dhanush's latest blockbuster Anegan has completed 100 days on Saturday. This KV Anand directorial, Anegan that released on February 13th has received rave reviews from viewers and critics alike. Bollywood beauty Amyra Dastur played Dhanush's love interest in Anegan, which showcased the lead pair in four different looks in different eras. Veteran actor Karthik got applauded for his negative role in the movie. Ashish Vidyarthi, Aishwarya Devan and others played key roles in this AGS Entertainments production film. Harris Jayaraj's music, OM Prakash's cinematography and Anthony's editing have taken Anegan to next level. Though Anegan has been premiered for Tamil New Year [April 14] in SunTV, it still managed to bring audiences to theaters. Dhanush to go by different looks in Anegan
National Award winner Dhanush is reportedly sporting four different looks for his upcoming romantic thriller Anegan that is laced with action. Cinematographer turned director KV Anand is wielding the megaphone for Anegan. Dhanush starrer appears to be intentionally titled Anegan, which means 'multiple personalities'. Anegan director has confirmed the same, "Dhanush will be seen in Four get-ups, presently he is sporting a rough look with beard and we will soon start trying others on him." “Anegan casts Amyra Dastur as female lead for Dhanush. She is very talented and delivers a noteworthy performance. Amyra remembers all her dialogues and perfectly presents them while giving her take," he added. Maattrraan director also said, “Dhanush plays very challenging role in Anegan as an outspoken guy with much intesity, unlike his usual moody, sombre characters." On the film's front Anand said, “Anegan will be my first film with more importance to romance, which will also have high octane action sequences. A market fight scene is recently filmed on Dhanush in Hyderabad." AGS Entertainments producing Anegan casts Karthik and Jagan in key roles, while Harris Jayaraj is composing music, cinematography by Om Prakash and editing by Anthony among the crew.
'Aegan' team heads to Ooty
There will be a 50 days non stop schedule for Ajith ' Nayantara starrer 'Aegan', directed by Raju Sundaram, starting in the month of April. The unit has so far completed the first schedule of 20 days and now it is gearing up for the next schedule. The entire shooting in the second schedule will be held in Ooty and hence the unit has blocked many guest houses and rooms in the hill station to accommodate around 150 persons. Meanwhile it has been learnt that young hero Navdeep, who acted in 'Arindhum Ariyamalum' and 'Ilavattam', would play Ajith's younger brother in 'Aegan'. Interestingly, Navdeep will also have a pair, who is yet to be decided.
Aegan: The directors take!
After the stupendous success of 'Billa' expectations are running high amidst Ajith fans for 'thalai's next film 'Aegan'. This film is being directed by the very popular dance master Raju Sundaram who will take the director's chair for the first time. We were all seeing and wondering about Ajith sporting a beard for around half a year now. The hero, who looks smashing with a clean shave, had not used the razor even when his daughter was born. But now the suspense is out and we all know that Ajith was sporting the beard for 'Aegan'. So far all news about this film as well as Ajith role was a tightly bottled up secret. We had only been informed that Ajith will essay a very different role in this film. But in a recent interview to the press the director Raju Sundaram has come out with more news on Ajith's role as well as on the film 'Aegan'. In this fast-paced flick Ajith will be seen as a hard core, and rough cop who completes any task assigned to him successfully. Ajith with his original beard in place will have Nayantara as his heroine. Will the 'Billa' magic work yet again, let's wait and watch. 'Aegan' also has a very impressive star cast with Suhasini Mani Rathnam, Jayaram, Suman, Nasser, M.S. Bhaskar, Sriman, and 'Arinthum Ariyamalum' fame Navdeep. Raju, the director, has said that this film will have the right dose of romance, humour as well as hair-raising stunts scenes. This film also has a speciality ' in the sense one stunt scene for 'Aegan' was choreographed by none other that the stunt choreographer of Jackie Chan himself and this stunt features hero Ajith Kumar. The director has planned to shoot the song sequences for this film from the exquisite locales of England, New Zealand and Australia. One more credit that 'Aegan' has is that it is the first film in the Tamil industry to be shot from Hong Kong. This big-budget film is made under the banner of Ayangaran International. The producers of the film are Ayangaran Karuna Murthy and Arun Pandiyan. The director Raju Sundaram has promised that he will work very hard for this film and he has also said that 'Aegan' will be one of the best films ever in the Tamil film industry. Well, with many brownie points to its credit in terms of the cast, crew and the locations we expect it to be a fantastic grosser and an all-round entertainer when 'Aegan' hits theatres.
Aegan in Vizag
Ajith's 'Aegan' is on at a brisk pace. Directed by Raju Sundaram and produced by Ayngaran International, the movie is being shot in Vishakapattinam at a rapid pace. Ajith sports a fresh look and is shaking legs with Nayantara. Touted to be an action-packed thriller, 'Aegan' is a movie laced with action, humor and romance. With fans thronging in large numbers to have a glimpse at Ajith, Raju Sundaram has hired few private security personnel to exercise vigil at the shooting spot. The first schedule of the movie was shot in Hong Kong.
