Anushka as Arundathi
Remember Anushka? The damsel from Mumbai tried her luck in Tamil in Rendu opposite Madhavan. She played a glam doll in the movie and won admiration. Meanwhile the actress became too busy in Telugu and had enough offers coming her way there. A happy Anushka says, 'I am happy that I am getting good offers in Telugu. Hopefully I get few in Tamil too. Heroines are portrayed as glam dolls in Telugu and rarely one comes across a performance oriented role'. Anushka is playing a conservative girl in a movie titled Arundathi in which she has enough scope to perform. She says, 'Arundathi has a different storyline and I am hopeful that my performance would fetch me an award in the movie'.
Naigal Jagirathai fame Arunthathi undergoes real Cop Training
Arunthathi who marked a place for herself in Naigal Jagirathai is all set to prove her mettle in the action sequences in Arthanaari directed by Sundarra Elangovan who had earlier associated Director Bala. 'Arthanaari is an action based script, the story is based on the true life incident which inspired me a lot. I don the role of an undercover cop which is quite challenging to me. I underwent a complete make over for this project with lot of home work being done for my character. I was sent for a training under a cop for two weeks , I learnt how to hold a gun and trigger it too. I attended stunt classes and learnt different jump and kicks which was complicate too but that was a thrilling one to do. My Director was so particular that he wanted me to learn all that was required for my role be it stunt or dance. My director suggested few movies to watch as a reference for my character "The Blue Steel, The Bone Collector, and Mardhani. Trust me i accumulated lot of energy after watching these films. Now after watching 'Arthanaari' i could feel the same energy in me,such is the intensity of the script.I should thank my stars that i am lucky to get heroine oriented script in the beginning of my career. Before we could start the shot of Arthanaari i had couple of workshops for my character. Arthanaari is not the usual cop role, here the toughness is much more intensified than the other films." "I got injured during a stunt sequence in my ankle , it was intense pain no doubt but the pain vanished when accolades poured from the unit for the dare devil act.Right from my child hood i had been a great fan of Vijaya Shanthi madam, and i am sure 'Arthanaari' will give her plenty of pride as my idol' concluded Arunthathi.
'Arundhathi' in top gear, nearing completion
With the storyline giving much prominence to the heroine's role 'Arundhathi' is gearing up for post production work. Anushka is playing the lead role in this flick. The heroine is happy to have done this film which has given her a new makeover as well as a wide scope for showcasing her acting skills. Anushka has set high hopes on this film. 'Arundhathi' is being produced by Shyam Prasad Reddy. This film is being directed by Kodi Ramakrishna, and the director has given high-priority to technical values. This film which is presently going through the post-production phase is being maintained on a very low-profile basis till the release date nears. The entire unit is tight lipped about the details of the film. 'Arundhathi' that has created much expectation because of very little information escaping regarding itself, will take some time to hit theatres across AP.
'Arundhati' completes 70 per cent shoot
The shooting of 'Arundhati' directed by Kodi Ramakrishna and produced by M Shyamprasad Reddy on the banner of MS Arts with 'Super' heroine Anushka in the lead role is going on at a brisk pace away from any kind of publicity. The film had completed its outdoor shooting recently with which 70 per cent of the film shoot was complete. The next schedules were planned in and around Hyderabad to complete the talkie part. Sonu Sood is playing another important character in the movie. The director Kodi Ramakrishna is moulding the film as a lady-oriented film. It may be recalled here that 'Ammoru' earned critical acclaim for its graphic works. Likewise, in this film too, graphic works are being undertaken without any compromise. Director Kodi Ramakrishna says, 'Producer Shyamprasad Reddy proved the stamina of Indian cinema in general and Telugu cinema in particular in graphics with the films like 'Ammoru and Anji'. The latest flick 'Arundhati' would have further more graphics in the film.'
'Arundhati' shoots in Film Nagar
The shooting of 'Arundhati' directed by Kodi Ramakrishna and produced by Shyam Prasad Reddy on the banner of Shyam Prasad Arts with Anushka playing the title role is progressing well at a private house in Film Nagar. The problems faced by women and the injustices meted out to women in the society are being debated in detail in this movie. Senthil, who earned the name as a good cinematographer in very less time, is working as cameraman for the film. It may be recalled here that several hit films like 'Ankusham, Ahuti, Ammoru and Talambralu' came in the combination of Kodi Ramakrishna and Shyam Prasada Reddy. However, this film is being produced keeping an eye on the woman audiences in particular.
