Billa producer meets Rajinikanth

Anandha Suresh, who is producing the remake of Rajinikanth's yesteryear classic Billa, called on 'Super Star' Rajinikanth at his residence and discussed with him about the movie. An elated Rajinikanth gave him few suggestions and encouraged him to come up with a movie with technological innovations. Directed by Vishnuvardhan, the new version of Billa would feature Ajith in Rajinikanth's role. The Super Star, who recently gave a lunch for Ajith for his excellent performance in Varalaru, invited Ajith to his residence this week. He discussed with Ajith about his experiences working for Billa and also gave him few suggestions. Ajith, who is thrilled at the new-found success in Kollywood, is in great joy.

Billa to go to floors on April 13

Rajinikanth's yesteryear blockbuster Billa is all set for a remake. The new version titled the same would feature Ajith, Nayantara and Namitha in prominent roles and would be directed by Vishnu Vardhan. Produced by Anandha Pictures Suresh, Billa would go to floors on 13 April. Buzz is that Rajinikanth has expressed his desire to be part of the inauguration. The movie featured Rajinikanth in the role of an angry young man went on to break all records at the box-office then. It may be recalled that Super Star Rajiniknath had earlier took part in the muhurrat of Ajith's Paramasivam.

Billa to start rolling from 13 April

Ajith's Billa, a remake of Rajinikanth's yesteryear blockbuster will kick off on 13 April. The movie's muhurat will take place at the AVM Studios Friday at 9.30 am in which Rajinikanth himself will take part. Among those who would be gracing the occasion include Tamil Film Producers Council Rama Narayanan, veteran producer Balaji and South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce president KRG and actresses Manorama and Sri Priya. The movie stars Ajith, Nayantara and Namitha in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Anandha Suresh and directed by Vishnuvardhan.

Billa for Deepavali

Rumors were abuzz that Ajith starrer 'Billa' will not hit the screens for this Deepavali. The news came as a disappointment for millions of Ajith fans across the State. But quick to put the rumors to rest is director Vishnuvardhan. According to the director, 'The film will hit theatres on Deepavali day. It would surely satisfy the fans of both 'Superstar' Rajnikanth and 'Ultimate Star' Ajith kumar'. Billa is a remake of yesteryear Rajnikanth classic titled the same. It stars Nayanthara, Namitha among others in the cast. Says Vishnuvardhan, 'Billa has been shaping up well. The performance of Ajith will be the highlight of the movie. Understanding that expectations are high since the film is the remake of a 'Superstar' starrer, Ajith has come out with his best'. Only two more songs need to be filmed, Vishnuvardhan said and added they would be canned in Malaysia.

Billa opts out of Deepavali race

Ajith's much-hyped Billa, a remake of yesteryear Rajnikanth's film which has the same title, will not make it for Deepavali. However, the shooting for the movie is on. Sources say the movie will be released during the last week of December. Directed by Vishnuvardhan, Billa features Nayantara and Namitha in the lead roles. Yuvanshankar Raja has scored the music for the movie. The crew is busy shooting for a song sequence in Malaysia now. The shooting will be completed by this month-end and the post-production work will commence soon.

Billa to be released on 30 Nov

The shooting for Ajith's 'Billa' is over. The good news for Ajith-fans is that, the movie will hit the screens on 30 November. The movie, a remake of yesteryear Rajnikanth hit, was initially slated for release on Deepavali day. However for reasons unknown its release for postponed. Speaking about the film, its producer Anandha Suresh, said, 'We have completed the shooting. The background and re-recording works have commenced. It is being carried out in Mumbai'. Dwelling further, Anandha Suresh said, 'We would be releasing the movie with 250 prints worldwide. For the first time, we are planning to release the movie in abroad with English sub-titles. The audio of 'Billa' would be released on 15 November followed by the movie on 30 November'. The movie stars Ajith, Nayantara, Namitha, Prabhu, and Rahman among others in the cast. Music is by Yuvanshankar Raja and the movie is directed by Vishnuvardhan. Interestingly, noted stunt choreographer William Yong, who worked in several Jackie Chan's movies, had worked in 'Billa'.
