Vikram’s Iru Mugan which was released yesterday (8th September) has been doing good business at the box office and is likely to continue this run in the coming days as well. It was expected that Vikram would next shift to director Thiru’s Garuda but due to some reasons, the film’s shoot has been postponed. The ‘I’ actor also has Saamy 2 in his kitty but we hear even that will take some time to kick start. Then who is going to direct Vikram's next? A little birdie has hinted that Vikram might team up with Socrates, the director of Sasi Kumar starrer Bramman. Apparently, Vikram and the production team are impressed with the one-liner narrated by the director. An official announcement regarding this is expected to be made in a week's time.
Brahmanadam-Mumaith Khan shake legs for 'Lakshmi Putrudu'
The final schedule of 'Lakshmiputrudu' directed by Rajkapoor and produced by Polisetty Rambabu on the banner of RS Films with Udaykiran and Diya in the lead is in progress. Presently a song is canned on Brahmanandam and Mumaith Khan at Ramoji Film City in different sets. Producer Polisetty rambabu says, 'Our film has several elements like youth, mass and sentiment. So the song choreographed on Brahmanandam and Mumaith Khan would remain a highlight as it has a mass appeal with class touch. We are sure that the song would bring repeat audiences to the theatres. The song would be a mass song and is being choreographed under the dance direction of Nixon in which several dancers from Hyderabad and Mumbai are participating. The song is being choreographed in three different sets in a novel trend. We are sure that the song would attract the audiences.' Brahmanandam says, 'The episode is coming up in an excellent way and looks quite rich. The daring and dashing nature of the producer could be watched for canning one such song without any compromise. I am sure that the song would be liked by all classes of audiences unanimously.' Mumaith Khan says, 'Though I am very busy, I agreed to do this special song in this film as it was really something special. I am sure that this song would remain yet another hit song in my career.' Choreographer Nixon says, 'When the director and producer told me that the song is being choreographed on Brahmanandam and Mumaith Khan, I thought it would be better if we do something different and special. So, by maintaining the mannerisms of Brahmanandam and Mumaith Khan, I mixed the present trend and picturised it in a different way.' Executive producer Vijayvarma says, 'The current schedule which began on July 19 would continue till August 18. After the completion of this song, we will leave for Kerala. There we will shot some key scenes on the lead artistes at Cochin. Later, there will be an episode on Brahmanandam and we will wrap up the shooting with the picturisation of a song in a special set on the hero and heroine.' Director Rajkapoor expressed his confidence that his first film would remain the best film in his career. Rajan P Dev, Riyaz Khan, Shakeela, Gauthamraju, Duvvasi Mohan and others are in the cast. Camera is by Suresh, music is by D Imaan, while P Sandhya Rani is the presenter of the movie.
Brahmanandam gets a pat from Devanand
Popular comedian Brahmanandam is a fan of Ever Green Glamour Hero of Bollywood Devanand, right from his childhood. He is crazy about his favourite hero. Though the latter is 85-year-old by now, he continues to inspire the present day youth with his impeccable style. During the recent birthday celebrations of popular producer, industrialist, philanthropist and Rajya Sabha member and Union minister T Subbaramireddy, Brahmanandam had got an opportunity to share the dais with his favourite hero, where Devanand was the chief guest. Brahmanandam felt thrilled at the cherished moment. During the meeting, several speakers spoke at length about Subbarami Reddy and Devanand. Brahmanandam says, 'When my turn came, I also addressed the meeting. While returning, Devanand called me and asked me to sit by his side. He patted on my back and complimented, 'Your speech is mind-blowing'. Later, he said, 'I used to watch your performance in comedy scenes in films and enjoy a lot. Your comedy works like a tonic for everyone. Now I came to know that there is also a good orator in you.' I am very much excited at the compliments showered on me by my favourite artiste. It would definitely remain as one of the best compliments ever I had in my career and in my lifetime.'
Brahmanandam gets into Guiness Book of Records
He is the busiest comedian in the industry today. A man who has acted which all the leading heros of his time. Be it chiranjeevi,Nagarjuna,Venkatesh,Balakrishna or younger heroes like Mahesh,Prabhas,N.T.R, his comic timing with them is perfect. Once a telugu lecturer from attili, he became a popular mimicry artiste before the tinsel world beckoned him. Ever since, in a career spanning over two decades, he has done nearly 754 films as a comedian, charcter artiste and a hero in a few films. This rare distincetion has now won him a place in the Guiness Book of Records. He was mentored by writer'director jandhyala in his early years. He was conferred a honorary doctrate by the Nagarjuna University a few years back. His role in films such as Aha Na Pellanta, Money, Manmathudu, etc, have left an indelible mark on the Telugu audience.
'Brahmanandam Drama Company' on July 11
The hilarious comedy film 'Brahmanandam Drama Company' directed by I Srikanth, presented by B Gurunatha Reddy and produced by Palli Kesava Rao and K Kishore on the banner of Sriramachandrulu Films with Sivaji, Ravikrishna and Brahmanandam in the lead. Producers say, 'It is well aware that Brahmanandam would evoke instant laughter with his appearance on the screen. If he gets ready to play a key role in a film, the entire two-and-a-half hour time would be a laughing riot. The same is going to happen in our 'Brahmanandam Drama Company'. We are making efforts to release the film on July 11. The songs choreographed in foreign locales would remain a highlight for our flick.
Brahmanandam says Jai Telangana
Tollywood star comedian Brahmanandam, in a bid to escape from the T-protestors, said Jai Telangana. Brahmi and Ileana were shooting for a movie that stars Allu Arjun and directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The unit were canning scenes on Brahmanandam amd Ileana at a private hospital in Kukatpally. But T-activists disrupted the shoot and eventually compelled Brahmanandam to say ‘Jai Telangana’…Mind you, Brahmi was quick enough to say that in a sportive way.
